What do you guys think about this new Michael Vick situation?
Well Vick is in some trouble once again. At his 30th birthday party,a felon that he was not supposed to be associated with, arrived and was shot just about 5 minutes before Michael Vick left the party. There is a video that shows Vick leaving before the shooting, so there is a possibility that he is innocent. Other theories say that he performed the drive-by, ordered someone to shoot the victim, or knew something was up and left before anything happened. It all just seems a little fishy to me, because there are so many questions to be answered. I hope that he is innocent, so he can make his comeback the right way, but he just can't put himself in these stupid situations. As a big fan of his, he can't have these parties no more up in the clubs at 2 am, especially on probation. Plain stupid stupid stupid. Now, he says he left the party and had no idea of the incident, but the police haven't ruled him out as a suspect in a new report. I think anyone who was at that party should be a suspect, not just him, so we can't really jump to conclusions. Let's all hope that he's innocent and can get back to just playing football and staying out of trouble.

The problem with this is you only have two choices, guilty or innocent
My real vote is that we have to wait and see what the police discover.
We he breaking probation being at that party or was having that one guy there something that would break his probation?
The big problem is not whether or not he shot the guy, it is whether or not this breaks his probation. If does does break it.. back to jail he goes and that is the end of his career.
"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, either way, YOU'RE RIGHT !"
yeah you are right
but i just wanted to see what people thought, like if he was innocent or guilty, should have made it clearer
Hit like Berry, Score like Jerry.
I refuse to vote and here is why
I big time do not believe in jury by the media even if that media is a non-professional forum. Part of me truly feels the poll should be removed off of this. Voting on how many yards he’ll throw? Ok. Voting as if we are a 12 man jury of his innocene or guilt without proper information except what has been bandied about by the media is a bit on the obscene side.

Show me your friends...
…and I’ll show you your future. If you hang with thugs and criminals, you end up in jail or dead.
If I were Vick and had gotten popped for the dog fighting thing, served my time, then was somehow able to get my job back, I’d be living so squeaky clean you wouldn’t imagine! I wouldn’t look at a club….or a party….or a gun STORE, let alone a gun….
I’d be sitting at home watching reruns of BIBLEMAN just to keep my nose clean!
He gets what he gets…and that doesn’t include any sympathy from me.
this
Part of crime and punishment extends beyond the jail time and one thing u gotta know is to keep away from anything that could get u in trouble no matter how much it “sucks”. Was that party worth all this? Will the next one be?

the show me the friends part is so true… at one point in my life I saw this happening to me (will not go into specifics because it doesn’t matter) but I moved far far away and started over and my life is now better and the prospect of it getting even better is great.
i believe he's innocent
BUT, the way the “news” is put out and how people’s minds work, he is guilty untill proven innocent, and even then he is still seen as should have been guilty.
i believe that he is trying to change for the better, and its not his fault that people want to F*** with him. He cant help where people pop up in his life….i think that he found out that there was somebody at his party that was gonna start some trouble so he decided to take the high road and get out…but we’ll see what the verdict is once this all pans out.
A man's life is described either by his actions, words, or even the people who he loves and loves him.
He can decide
to not go to clubs at 2am when he knows people are out to “F*** with him”.
He gave up his right to the fast life until his probation is over. You’d think he would have learned that by now?
hes an idiot.
you cant be at a club, partying, selling it as the “michael vick experience” especially with the guys who agreed to stay away from as part of your probation. hes done, and its his fault.
This.
Exactly. It doesn’t matter what he did or did not do. Simply his being there is enough to convict him in the court of public opinion and raise suspicion about him from his P.O.
Like I said before: If it were me, I wouldn’t have anything to do with anything remotely questionable for a long, long time if I had just gotten out of jail…
Why should have never how to go out to a club again?
He was never convicted on any sort of gun violence anyway. He was arrested on interstate gambling charges. The animal cruelty bit is extraneous to the gambling charge. Vick did his time if he wants to go to the club its his right.

A co-defendant from his trial was present at his party. He broke his probation.
When you break probation, that means you go back to jail. Though Vick being a professional athlete, I’d be surprised if he sniffed any backlash.

His co-defendant wasn't on the guest list
So he dropped by unannounced. Maybe to kill Vick for all you know.

Possible.
All we know is he was there, at Vick’s party.

Hes going to jail
Having that phillips fellow there is a DIRECT violation of his parole. AND his parole officer is now investigating which means hes screwed.
As for the gun shooting, the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. MARCUS VICK is the one that tabbed out and left in a hurry about 5 minutes after the incident. Maybe they can butt buddies with each other in prison!!!
HE IS GUILTY ...
of shooting himself in the foot, AGAIN. I honestly believe that this guy doesn’t have enough common sense to come in out of the rain. The ONLY WAY that he can really recover from his initial downfall, both personally and professionally, is to keep his nose absolutely clean, NO EXCEPTIONS. So what do he do? Conducts a highly-publicized high profile party at one of the clubs notorious for trouble! How intelligent, putting a target on yourself when you can’t afford any such possibility. He obviously deserves whatever backlash he gets!

When you are walking on paper thin ice...
It’s pretty darn stupid to put yourself in that situation. What is wrong with a cookout in the back yard with close friends and family?
"I'm blessed..... Thanks, God bless" ...hey, it worked for Tim Tebow.

Let's talk on Twitter
How many chances?
Vick lost what a 70m contract, kicked out of the NFL, spent time in prison, then the same employer (the NFL) who he lied to decided to give him another chance. He again got a multi-million dollar contract (granted way less than before) and promises not only to the NFL but to the court of law that he would change his ways.
Has he really?
I mean seriously think about it… if it were me (and I would say many of you on here) if you got a second chance to make millions doing something you love. Would you even take the slightest risk in losing it all again?
So what you don’t get to party and go clubbing anymore, so what you get to do tame activities with only the closest of friends and family. That with making millions sounds like a better life than losing it all again and possibly going back to prison for parole violation and then flipping burgers the rest of your life afterwords.
truthfully
michael vick just aint that bright.

I couldn't resist
I’m sorry, learning disability or not, the dude has had almost 16 months to learn the playbook and he’s jacking plays up so bad that Jimmy Raye stopped him at the line and yanked him during OTAs. This is not Martz’s ridiculous offense and I’m not complaining about him not knowing all the hot routes and blitz pickups. HE CAN’T EVEN LINE THE GUYS UP RIGHT. He’s either not smart enough to handle the job, (my take), or not putting in the effort to overcome his disability, which is possible but if so Ziegler who is obviously a hard worker would likely bust him out.
What happens when we change an offensive coordinator? Do we have Heitmann calling the plays in the huddle and telling Davis what patterns his WR’s are gonna run?

Poor Nate Davis
I really like the guy, hes got the tools to be a good QB, he just isnt that smart… put him in a situation like Peyton where you have the same coordinator his whole career, this guy could be special.

Can you say "Jarrett Brown is our future!!!"?

Here's another...
Nate Davis is NOT our future!

No
Nate Davis isn’t [site decorum] enough to run a dog fighting organization out of his backyard.

I couldn’t care less if Mike Shot the guy personally while burning a bible, aborting a fetus, smoking crack.
I am however very happy that Singletary apparently recognized the caliber of his character, and we passed on him.
I should preview first

Alex Smith is garbage...
This is grasping for straws...
The poor guy can’t even have a birthday party w/o some Klingon screwing it up. The old saying is : “Keep your freinds close, your enemies closer.”
The only reason this is being made such a stink of, was the “victim’s” association as one of the guys involved with the whole dog fighting incident. What in the hell ws this guy even there for? Besides, unless some real EVIDENCE shows up, that Micheal wanted this guy “knee capped”, whether it was 3 mins, or 3 hours….the evidence shows that he left the scene BEFORE THE INCIDENT EVEN OCCURED! Give it up people. And give Micheal a break. He barely has a job, his name is worthless, he’s litterally the brokest man in football, and with the kinds of friends he seems to have around him, his life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
K.C.Edwards -AKA- "THE" DarkkStarr
I actually agree
I feel bad for Vick. He was railroaded because he was an NFL star. He never should’ve gotten 2 years in jail for what he did—not when we’ve had NFL players kill people and get no jail time or only a few months.
In this case he wasn’t even there when the shooting happened and Phillips wasn’t even one of Vick’s guests.

What did Stallworth get for slaughtering that old guy?
A one year suspension….from the NFL.
Weird, huh?

30 days in jail
plus probation. His case was a bit different in that the family didn’t want to press charges, but Stollworth isn’t the only player to kill someone drunk driving.

Donte would have fried if he split
But he did the right thing and was ready to face the consequences, it ended up being there was none. Driving buzzed is driving drunk… But he wasn’t egregiously intoxicated by all accounts and that old man was dumb. He ran out in front of Stallworths car on what is basically a freeway. He’s as much at fault as Donte and the family decided to take the cash and leave well enough alone.

Those of you voting guilty might want to stop jumping to conclusions based on a
man’s past history. Vick has been completely cleared of any wrong-doing in this case and the police have the man in custody who did the shooting.
“Investigators were able to determine the identity of the shooter. Unfortunately because of the lack of cooperation from the victim, coupled with the reluctance of witnesses, the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, upon reviewing all of the evidence, has determined that no charges will be filed in this case at this time. Because the suspect will not be charged, his identity cannot be released by police. There are no other suspects in this case, including Michael Vick.”
