Golden Nuggets: Biting Back

Good morning everyone. More Nuggets, though only just. The lack of links continues, but that's to be expected. Sorry that I didn't get an At Least We're Not up yesterday, I learned last time if it's not high quality stuff, Niners Nation will rip me apart, so I decided to sleep on it so I could make it all the better. You'll get one today... maybe. Anyway, I'm finding it difficult to rant on here to start the Nuggets. Nothing new went down, but I'd imagine in the next week or so we'll start hearing more on the signing of rookies and the like. Next in line would probably be Bowman, then Mays, and then the two offensive lineman from the first round, Anthony Davis and Mike Iupati. Either way, I have one or two links for you, enjoy them and what not.

Jason Cole, the guy who put together those defensive line rankings a couple weeks back, responds to a lot of hatemail he received. He really does nothing to argue any points, the kicker is: I disagreed with most of them, as did most of you, not just the 49ers ratings. Just An Idea

Hey Ninjamess, any chance you could incorporate some inner site love with these nuggets? You know, like giving a nice shout out to well written fanposts. What, you think I’m talking about my storytime with da Niner’s post? Tut tut, whatever gave you an idea like that?

Seriously though, there are a lot of neat fanposts that don’t get enough credit or readers just because they aren’t on the front page. Because I’m lazy I’d love for you to go through these posts and pick out the good ones for us. Pretty pretty please?

Yes

The older I get and the portlier I become, I find that my teets become worse and worse. A nice pair of teets are advantageous for a woman, but inadvisable for a man.

Is a joke….to even put them at number 19 is a joke. He can try and comeback with funny little quips but the fact is he is a yahoo blogger basically. Very biased and uneducated commentary. Fact is yahoo has a long past of having hack reporters who recycle there garbage from other blogs and then take credit for it. I have seen many times where they try and act as if there real reporters and yet they use blatant bias remarks.

Maybe I haven't been looking much

But it always seemed to me that the Yahoo bloggers at least did a decent job of establishing some sort of dialogue with the readers. It wasn’t the most professional reporting but it was decent and sometimes insightful. It was something you could disagree with from time to time but from what I read from their mailbag posts, you could at least see that they had explanations and reasons for writing the things they wrote.

That’s what shocked me about Cole’s response. He seemed like he was completely resistant to the whole idea that 49er fans would have any right to argue with him based on our past. He made no points and no arguments. He addressed nothing except for the fact that he was criticized.

Worse than that he hurled insults in response. What good does that do? If you can’t address someone’s concerns, then the proper response would be to either not respond or to admit that you can’t address the concerns. Cole, instead, decided to go out of his way to insult the people that dared to question him. To me that’s beyond bad reporting. That’s clear and outright disrespect.

Alex Boone

I have stayed close to my more supportive friends when I’m home. There are a lot of guys I just can’t hang out with anymore because we don’t want the same things. I love ‘em, but I can’t be with people who don’t have good healthy living as a priority. I can’t allow anything to jeopardize my success. I feel like this is my time. I’m working as hard as my body can work because I want this so bad. There’s nothing else more important to me right now.

I like and root for him more and more each day.
