THE DEBARTOLO-YORK FAMILY THESIS : THE CURSE OF THE RAIDERS ON THE BAY AREA

the bay area has had no trophies since the raiders returned from LA in 1995...

…meanwhile since ’95 LA has had 5 NBA titles w/ the lakers, a world series w/ the angels & stanley cup w/ the ducks

- warriors = sucked since '94-‘95 webber/nelson fiasco & advent of cohan majority ownership

- 49ers = last super bowl 94/95 (the season BEFORE the raiders returned)

- a’s = have had cheap, dubious owners since ’95, Coliseum RUINED by al davis

- sharks = perennially jinxed in the playoffs

- giants = have yet to win a WS for SF, somehow is only team rewarded with new stadium

and finally,  the raiders themselves FAILED the bay area EPICALLY against jon gruden & the bucs in the super bowl (and tarnished Jerry Rice’s super bowl legacy)
