Patrick Willis has the right attitude
He gathered the troops and told them it was one bad game and to keep your heads up because it's only 1 game, and we still have 15 more games to go with a favorable schedule. "To all the true fans out there. I "we" apologize for today's out come. We gonna be ok. just keep the belief." I'm keeping the belief, this team will bounce back, dwelling on yesterday won't help no one. It's the perfect set up for this team. Home opener, with the defending champs coming in, Monday Night, the whole nation watching, this our chance to PROVE ourselves. I believe Alex Smith will bounce back in this game, not just because he's 6-0 in prime time games, because our team has that ability to bounce back. (This isn't a Alex Smith post here, as we already have that). Our O-line has one game under their belt, they should be ready for next week. Frank Gore, he seems to be forgotten with all the QB, secondary, and coaching mishaps, but he didn't have a great game running the ball either, but look for him to assert himself out there next week. And last thing, Patrick Willis should have HIS defense ready next week and deliver huge hits. And to us fans, if you're going, cheer hard, our guys need the help from the crowd, it should be fully packed. Win this game, and we can get our season back on track. Though it's only monday, I'm going to throw in my prediction: 27-21. Believe!

Nice post....
i was reading the Patrick Willis comment in one of those “Nuggets” articles, he has the right way of thinking (unlike some of these fickle fans on here, ready to toss the season in the trash after the FIRST GAME). The Niners have the same record as 15 other teams right now, including 5 playoff teams (and at least 1 more after tonight) from last year. I swear, reading some of these comments, you would think this is an Eagles fan-base, cursing out Santa.
I know the end result sucks, but the odds of going 6-0 in your division is really slim, and this was one that most of us can agree would be the most likely loss out of the 6 games.

This site is riddled with fans who only make complaint posts
And call for players heads, or coaches jobs anytime a bad game happens. You’ll get used it, hell ive gotten to the point where i find it comicle.
Last season my favorite was Rocky lol.
Fasterman
made quite a compelling case yesterday for that job this year…
I wonder if the percentage of “those” people are greater in here at NN than in real life… I’m sure the internet might have something to do with it, but then again, judging from sports radio most lay fans don’t seem too level-headed either.
Thanks for singleing me out :-)
I do get too uptight when the team loses, I am the first to admit it. But I am not some loony toon who doesn’t see the big picture either. I am a fan who hopes the team does well this year. That was a shocking loss that most of the fans were upset about. I dont think I was the only fan not pleased with the outcome or the way the team lost. That game is over, time to go out and win on Monday.
Another year, another chance to hope for the team !!
Rocky is still going strong lol

I believe
that Willis will have that defense ready but the offense will have to follow suit especially Smith. To have a chance it will take a hell of an effort to beat the world champs but after our last effort we will have something to prove big time.

might help somebody though.
Saints better watch out because we are coming for blood

I have like 0.1% confidence in this team going into next week
maybe it’s better that way

Yaaay optimism!
Now I feel happy.
And honestly, the 49ers… we could end up a trap game for the Saints just like the Seahawks were a trap game for us.
… Not likely. But hey, it’s certainly possible.
Touchdown Forty Niners!
We gonna play
A bunch of T.I. at the game?

I'm sorry but I can't be quite so optimistic with our suspect secondary
The Vikes also have a questionable secondary and held the Saints to two TD’s, so it might not be so bad. I just have a really bad feeling that Brees is going to hand us our own _. Their run game shouldn’t get much of anything, so we just need to hope we can make an occassional stop and keep putting points on the board.
monday night game
I don’t think we are going to win this game, but I just want to put up a good showing on national television
