Ok so this is my first attempt at a fan post so I hope its at least somewhat thought provoking.  The other day I started a franchise from scratch on Madden 11 using of course our very own 49ers.  I am somewhat lazy so I usually let the computer simulate all the games and I focus on the draft, training camp and other management type stuff.  I started the simulation of the season and then went to eat a sandwich (amazing sandwich by the way, Italy has the best deli meats ever).  When I came back the 49ers had made it to the wild card round and after that they were done.  Well beginning season 2 in player retirements screen I almost pooped my shorts cause both Joe Staley AND Frank Gore retired due to career ending injuries (I never check during the season so I didn't know what they were.  I think I actually teared up at the thought.  It got me thinking though.  What if some kind of catastrophic injury did occur?  How bad off would we be?  What player or combination of players lost FOREVER to injury would devastate us more?  Personally I would say losing Frank would be the worst followed closely by Patrick Willis.  What are your thoughts?
