So I lied, I don't having a synopsis on how the scoring system works. We all forget to do our homework from time to time. Next week I will feel good, I will feel great, I will feel wonderful and get my homework done. I do have this weeks scores which are more important.
An important message!
If you've been terrible like I have the first 3 weeks, hang in there! If you've missed a week or two, hang in there! If you're afraid it's too late to join, join and hang in there! Why? Well look at the scores. Anyone who has averaged 4 points per week is in the top 15, I believe the top 16 make the playoffs. This is a game of baby steps and eventual breakthroughs. Shut outs, 2 point weeks, 3 points weeks are the norm. You only need one big prediction weekend to be in the thick of it for the title and 14 weeks remain! One 10 point weekend and you are golden, like going from 0-3 to 5-3 instantly. Makes up for weeks terrible predictions or times when YOU'RE ON VACATION. Remember baby steps week 1 ... baby steps week 2 ... baby steps week 3 ... etc. You could even join in Week 10 and still make the playoffs. Last year I went from a playoff seed in Week 10 to power ranked 155th by the end season so I know it's possible.

Week 3 Analysis
Revenge of the home dogs. Shame on all of you for taking the road favorites. You (by you I mean must of you) probably took a beating this week taking 49ers, Packers, Raiders and cannot cover a kickoff to save their lives Chargers. Seriously, how lucky can Pete Carroll be? The Chargers were better off announcing an onside kick with each kickoff and letting Seahawks start at the 35 yard line, ditto for their earlier Chiefs game. The one home favorite in Miami lost by giving up 9000 passing yards to Mark Sanchez tossing to a butterfingers, bust wide receiver who blew 0.17 in pregame so he had to sit out the 1st quarter. Why they play the games but at least Tampa Bay returned to normal.
The Week's Big 5 Prognosticators
whobob - There are two types of people in this world: Those who like Neil Diamond, and those who don't. Bob took the home teams. The wil[e]y bob also took the Steelers to blowout the Bucs for his biggest score of the week. He's also the same whobob who finished in the Top 5 last week, he won't go away.
The Sear - Like the 49ers crushing loss wasn't a big enough kick in the junk. One of the all time niners nation pessimists bet big against them cashing in big time. Credit to him, he doesn't like the 49ers current configuration and he used the contest to make a point ... ok lots of points. It was also his first week participating and look how high he's already ranked.
fanoftheunderdogs - Self proclaimed underdog lover wandered over and found a bone. I think he's here to stay. Not to mention he provided a quick write up of each game out dueling the rabbid, needs to be put down dog Pete Prisco. Lets see what happens when all his home dogs become road dogs next week?
DuikeBuike - After laying low a week he's already back atop the leader board. What's his trick? He always takes the Seahawks, he also always takes the spotlight away from beecharmer. I'd rather talk about beecharmer. Truthfully I'd rather not talk about either of them cause they are winning off the Seahawks.
rlott#42 - The third confessed Seahawks lover. I think he's a fan for life. I suggest he ought to take a vacation maybe we ought to ban him? He also missed a perfect score in the Bears game by a point. Folks, don't worry about him. He's betting Seahawks and Bears, those slot machines will stop paying.
sf49ers123 & SpurredOn - Hey look, 49ers fans at #5. Like the 49ers are currently 5th in the NFC West. Each contestant had a 1st place finish along with a 4th place finish.

Like I mentioned above the rest of us are very much in play. 10th place only has 15 points. A 10 point week will position anyone near the top.
