Playoff Predictions
So here we are, the first gameday of the new season: what a great time for everyone to layout their playoff predictions and maps, and claim bragging rights at the end of the season. If I was cleverer I'd come up with some sort of game or point system (probably easy enough, maybe we can revisit it at the end of the season) but for now consider this a dumping ground for everyone's predictions. If you like this idea or think this might be fun, go ahead and rec it so it stays up. And now my predictions after the jump, add yours in the comments!
AFC:
Division Winners: Jets, Colts, Ravens, Chargers
Wild Cards: Raiders (yes, seriously), Patriots
Other Predictions: Texans will compete until the final 2 weeks of the season, the Dolphins will lose a tie-breaker to the Pats, the Steelers will do worse after Big Ben returns. The Bills will be the worst team in the AFC.
NFC:
Division Winners: Cowboys, Packers, Saints, 49ers
Other Predictions: The worst team in the NFC East will win 7 games. Brett Favre doesn't miss a start, but he doesn't finish at least 2 games. The Lions won't suck. The Bears will be the worst team in the north, it will be Martz deja vu, trying to run his offense with a line that can't protect 7-step drops. Matt Moore is the next Tony Romo. The Niners win 10 games but are still the worst division winner.
AFC Wild Card:
Patriots at Ravens - Ravens win
Raiders at Jets - Jets win
AFC Divisional:
Jets at Colts - Colts win
Ravens at Chargers - Ravens win (poor Norv, probably gets fired)
AFC Championship:
Ravens at Colts - Colts win
NFC Wild Card:
Vikings at 49ers - 49ers win (dare I say this ends Favre's career - permanently)
Falcons at Cowboys - Cowboys win
NFC Divisional:
49ers at Saints - Saints win
Cowboys at Packers - Packers win
NFC Championship:
Saints at Packers - Packers win
SUPER BOWL:
Colts beat Packers 34-28

The Raiders
are almost there. they just need an offensive line, running game, and wide receivers. 5-7 wins.
yeah, though I think they'll run through the rest of the west except the chargers
and pick up a couple cheap wins elsewhere (like last year). Louis Murphy isn’t half bad…and I think they’ve got the D to take them to a wild card…they’re my ‘going out on a limb’ pick

I think the packers are overrated
They will lose to the Vikings twice this year and the Vikings will win the north.
yeah I think rodgers is the real deal (dammit)
and they’re d has the right mix of vet savy and youth
They'll probably lose to the Vikings
But mainly because the Vikings can handle the Packers well.
Other teams? Not so much…
My only concern is their secondary, but I think it can hold up for another season.
What we've got here is a failure to communicate.

Cowboys win it all
Miles Austin is dating Kim Kardashian. Last year every team that had a player dating a player that team won their respective league. I.E Lamar Odom and the Lakers as well as the NO Saints and Reggie Bush.
