Ed Donatell will be our savior...
Now you might be asking who, unless you stumbled on the same articles i've read from barrows and maiocco. Nevertheless, Ed Donatell will be our new db's coach, and I can't be more excited. Everybody knows that our db's or lack thereof have been a constant problem with our 49ers. It always appears that they are out of position or not know enough about the nuances of the opposing quarterbacks.
Now why do I care about Ed Donatell, he has the ability to coach and groom great db's. Just like Harbaugh can coach a qb Donatell can coach a DB. He's coached the likes of Champ Bailey and Ty Law, and when he was Defensive Coordinator, his teams were always top 10 in pass defense. So on a scale from 1-10, how excited are you about Ed Donatell?

I don't know how Harbaugh pulled this one off, but ... Yippee!!
I’m surprised at two things: First, how fast Harbaugh was able to bring Donatell on board … he has obviously been thinking about his potential staff at the pro level for a while, knew who he wanted, and went and got him. What a refreshing change from the past regimes who couldn’t get good people to go to work for them. Second, I’m surprised how quickly Ed bailed from Denver knowing that Fox was coming in; wonder what the story is there?
Keep going, Jim, you’re do a GREAT job of getting the right guys. Damn! I’m starting to get excited about the Niners for the first time in a LONG time!

Not drinking the Kool-Aid this time around until I see results.

No.
I just hate getting my hopes up like last year just to have them crushed. It’s better not to expect much and then if it happens it makes it all that much better

one big difference already from the Singletary hiring
the quality of assistants is much, much better. That alone gives me hope
