Fooch's Note: Over the course of the offseason we have our official draft discussion threads posted by Drew K (see the most recent HERE). That's an important post for keeping draft discussion in single FanPost rather than having 100 different draft FanPosts. There are exceptions for new ones, but generally we will keep the discussion there.

However, as we see in j_rich36's FanPost, offseason discussion can cross between the draft and current player acquisition through free agency and trades. In order to accommodate this cross-over discussion I've decided to turn this into an official "wish list" thread. If you're only talking about college players, go to Drew's draft threads. However, if you are talking about trading picks for current NFL players and also mentioning draft picks, while also mentioning free agency issues, this is your thread.

As a "wish list thread" this can also cover any position coaches you hope the 49ers will approach. It's meant to focus on players, but as long as holes remain in the coaching staff they can be part of wish lists. A little early to be talking about this but my wishes for this offseason go like this.

1. Trade second round pick for Kolb. This would provide a solid qb that has played in a west coast style offense.

2. Sign Asomugha. Shut down corner, would really upgrade the secondary.

3. Cut Clements. Save some money, this money would be used for part of Asomugha's contract.

4. Draft Prince Amukamara with our first pick.

This scenario would give us a great corner in Asomugha, the chance of two great corners with Prince on the other side. A qb that would be, if nothing else, an upgrade over what we had last year. If Kolb doesn't pan out, we could still draft Barkley or another qb next year (which should be a better qb draft than what we have this year). All we would lose this year would be a 2nd round pick, and money. Sounds good to me.
