As a Rutgers fan growing up in the central Jersey area, I watched a handful of the battles we have had against USF. Let me say that Jim Leavitt is a firey guy that coaches with a chip on his shoulder and displays a ton of passion on the sideline. His overall record at 51-26 is impressive to me because he shaped a nonexistent football program withinin the heat of some solid Big East competition. My question to ninersnation... Do you think he will come in and make similar mistakes that Singletary made in the sense that he let his emotions get the better of him? I think he can be a very capable NFL coach and good addition to shape a solid core of linebackers that are already on the roster.
Take a closer look at this Leavitt vs. RU
