2011 Super Bowl XLV Gambling: Prop Bets And Odds Galore
The folks at Bodog Sports have put together a rundown of a ton of prop bets. Many casinos and online sports books will have a variety of prop bets you won't see after the jump, but there are still some interesting ones here. We've got some of the basics on like the spread and total points. However, we've also got over/under on the Nielsen rating, what Fergie will wear during her performance, and even how long Christina Aguilera will hold the word brave at the end of the National Anthem.
After reading over the various odds below, are there any in particular you'd like to see? Bodog sent me a rundown of a whole bunch of other props but mostly just stuff like "Who will have more receptions: Hines Ward vs. Donald Driver." Any more original props you can come up with that aren't included below. I do have to give them props for including a prop about mentions He Who Shall Not be named. I have to think with the Packers playing this game we'll see this thing go over, big time.

What are the odds if the Steelers win it all, 60% of sports journalists will write an article that Roethlisberger has redeemed himself?

This is insane.
It made me think about how sometimes this stuff is jsut a total waste of your life.
Bring on the damn game, and then let’s get to the draft so I can root for something.
But here's mine
Odds of Alex Smith replacing a healthy Aaron Rogers as the GB starting QB in 2011:
Googelplex / 1.
If Fergie wears a thong we all win.
Kellen Moore is awesome

It’s not a waste of time, there are many people out there(myself included) that bet on games regularly, not just the Super Bowl. Having all these props to throw a few bucks on is fun. I look at sports betting as a hobby, I don’t look at getting rich off of it, but it adds a bit more excitement to a game one might not care about, or having a rooting interest in.
I wanna see the odds...
On what BEP open their set with…
“I Got a Feelin’ must be around -500
i got GB by 10………27-17

Fact
The last six SB winners wore white. Steelers are wearing white
Coin toss isn’t 50/50. The NFC has won the last 13 coin tosses

actually...
Each coin toss is independent much like the odds of red vs. white in roulette. Each toss of the coin is an independent statistical event.

Honestly Eff the superbowl this year..
My superbowl will be the NFL 2011 draft..I’m betting on the Niners taking Amukamara and a QB in the second
"Winning means being unafraid to lose." – Fran Tarkenton
are Fergie and Christina Aguilera allowed to bet on this?
We don't need 8 in the box. We have 52 in the box.
Anybody know the odds
on If they are going to have any cheer leaders at the game.. I know Pitt doesn’t have any and GB only has them for home games. I’d place $ on GB’s cheerleaders being at SB..
2011 season can't come quick enough..
The GB packers are wearing home field colors
Kellen Moore is awesome

Prop bets from last year's Superbowl
Last year I put 20 dollars on a ticket that had 6 prop bets total. Along with the props, I put another 20 dollars on a 3-team parlay. Both tickets hit. But the magic was just starting.
As you can imagine, the sportsbook was pretty busy. Eventually, I had made it to the front of the line. For some reason the prop bets hadn’t been entered yet, but I was paid out for the 3-team parlay.
Whilst I waited, I took the 150 dollars or so from my parlay and wandered over to the Wheel of Fortune slot machine, the closest machine in proximity to the sportsbook. I put in twenty dollars and had played a couple of dollars before I got my first “Spin”. Anyone who has played WoF can attest to the excitement the “Spin” brings.
I hit the button and watched the wheel spin round and round…and round…until it finally settled on, you guessed it, 1000. Ecstatic, I immediately cashed out and ran back to the sportsbook. The prop bets were in and I added a cool 450 to my ever growing cash pile. 1,600 dollars I didn’t have 30 minutes before I went in to the casino.
Also, my girlfriend was with me the whole time. She too hit a 3-team parlay (I want to say we had the exact same ticket). Oh, and did I mention that, she too, won 200 dollars from WoF? I can’t make this stuff up. God bless the state of Nevada.

Christina Aguilera’s gonna hold the word brave for 19 seconds and if Fergie wears a thong, the Steelers are going to win. Gambling is only fun when you are on the winning side. Sometimes, we just let the gods determine the winner.
