News is quickly coming out that the Tennessee Titans have decided to part ways with long-time head coach Jeff Fisher. Nobody really seems to know yet whether it's a firing, resignation, or some kind of mutual decision. Whatever the case, one has to wonder if this decision means that Bud Adams picked Vince Young over his head coach in their little tête-à-tête. Adam Schefter is reporting that VY is still going to be waived or traded. If that's the case then I'm not sure what to make of all this.
The general belief was that Fisher was sticking around and Vince Young was on his way out whether it be via trade or being cut. When that news leaked out, the Vince Young bandwagon heated up here at Niners Nation. VY has a variety of skills that are incredibly attractive. He's got speed, he can make some impressive throws, and he's a "winner" for those who want to use that argument. However, Young has had a variety of issues arise with the latest being his battle of wills with Jeff Fisher.
Now that Fisher is out as head coach, is it possible we see some kind of reversal that results in VY staying with the Titans?
