Golden Nuggets: Facts Regarding The 49ers

Good morning, folks. Zombified sleep-deprivation-mode Ninjames here serving up your Nuggets. I'd like to start out today with a couple of snippets of information ... factual truths that are 100% correct in every way because I said so. Vince Young is not an option for the 49ers in 2011. End of story. It is far too early to be thinking Michael Crabtree cannot be a number one receiver. Josh Morgan does not suck under any circumstances. Jeff Fisher was intriguing for a little while, but the 49ers made the right choice in not waiting, whereas last time it was probably a mistake to be so hasty. I also had a vision that I'm positive is from the future, and that vision told me that the 49ers will sign a running back who was previously on the roster at some point this offseason. All of that being said, let's move on to your links.

It seems like Von Miller is the hot prospect right now. I honestly don't know anything about him and lack the capacity to retain information as it stands, so I'll let you know my thoughts when I take a look at the linebackers. (

Maiocco has a recap from the Senior Bowl practices, a valuable resource if you've been unable to follow things live. (

Should the 49ers take Blaine Gabbert? I think so, mostly just because I'm terrified we'll end up without a real quarterback in 2011 and I want Harbaugh to do well right away. I think that means gambling on a rookie. (

Barrows takes a look at how the quarterbacks at the Senior Bowl stack up to one another. (

I don't quite agree with Kawakami's views and opinions regarding Trent Baalke and Mike Singletary's relationship, but it's an interesting view. I think he's reading one thing and jumping to a myriad of conclusions because they sound deliciously wicked to him, which is fine and all - just not something I'm buying. (
