In our last post I mentioned how things were getting a little absurd as the Jim Harbaugh Head Coach hysteria reached unheard of levels. Little did I know that things would go from crazy to just plain silly. Much like when Michael Crabtree and the 49ers were doing their little dance, things have taken a turn for the amusing. It's times like these where twitter brings me so much amusement.
Eric Branch: The undisclosed location is not the SFO Marriott. At least not any more. Of all days to leave my Harbaugh GPS device at home.
Astand49: @NinersNation @Eric_Branch they are at the ihop on bayshore
It really shouldn't surprise me that people have reached the point of sarcastic comments. Although I will say that if Astand49 were actually right and Harbaugh and York were at IHOP, I would officially be 100% sold that Harbaugh is the man for the job and will be awesome.
I have to applaud everybody here at NN as you guys have been cleaning house in the comments over the last ten days. It's picked up steam the last few days, but the last ten days have been the busiest this site has ever seen over that long a stretch. Normally our highest concentration of traffic is during the now three days of the NFL draft. However, the last ten days we've done as much traffic as ever and it's thanks to a group of fans that are about as worn out by all this as we could possibly be.
The "problem" with this Harbaugh situation is that any mouth-breather with a twitter account can claim some piece of news is legit and that's that. I believe certain people more than I believe other people. A guy named @ProjProspect tweeted a four year deal was set with details to be hammered out. Who is this guy and what possible reason does anybody other than his mother have to believe him? I'd believe a tweet from MC Hammer over him at this point. Although, after the Crabtree stuff, Hammer has all sorts of cred here at NN.
