This has been a crazy day of news with the Jim Harbaugh saga in full swing (seemingly ending on the down-swing for 49ers fans). Add to that the recent announcement by Stanford that Andrew Luck will return for another season with the Cardinal.
Recently there was a buzz about Luck possibly coming back to Stanford and giving up his surefire spot at the top of the 2011 NFL Draft. Most thought he'd be crazy to pass up this chance, especially after Jake Locker decided to return to the University of Washington for his senior season, only to watch his stock plummet behind poor decision making and a shaky surrounding cast.
Perhaps even stranger is that Harbaugh appears to be bolting from Stanford for an NFL coaching job (presumably with the deep-pocketed Dolphins), leaving Luck without what many believe to be his biggest mentor in Harbaugh.
While it certainly seems like an outside-chance-at-best, could Harbaugh be debating returning to Stanford as well? Is this part of the reason Luck has decided to return? Would we all love to see Miami spurned by Harbaugh after they flew across the country and offered (reportedly) him upwards of $8M per year?
In light of recent developments in the Harbaugh and now Luck stories...site decorum is OFF! It should be noted though that direct insults to another user are NOT permitted.
