The Cotton Bowl may be secondary to the signing of Jim Harbaugh for those of you who are 49ers fans. The saga dragged on for days and has now come to a halt with a favorable result.

This years Cotton Bowl features two teams that finished with very solid records. The LSU Tigers finished with just two losses to two excellent teams (Auburn and Arkansas). The Aggies finished with a 9-3 record. They hit a 3 game losing streak against the OSU Cowboys, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Missouri Tigers, all of which were ranked at some point in the season.

Tonight's game features one of the most dynamic cornerbacks to play the game in a long time in Patrick Peterson for LSU. Texas A&M also has one of the better players on defense in the nation in Von Miller. Miller projects to be an outside linebacker in the NFL. Both players are expected to be selected in the first round of next years draft. Some folks even have Peterson mocked as high as the second overall player to be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft.
