Short and sweet.
Jim Harbaugh is the coach of the San Francisco 49ers and it is safe to say that the vast majority believe that he is the answers to our prayers.
I am one of those people.
What concerns me is the fact that this man is taking a position as an inexperienced (NFL) head coach of a team that has never known what it is to be a playoff caliber team as well as a coach of a fanbase that has not seen a "winning" team in over 8 years.
Fortunately, Coach doesn't need to rebuild the majority of the positions on the field - he simply needs to develop them.
5 years and a $25M dollar contract puts Harbaugh tied for 9th on Matt Maiocco's Forbes brake down of top coaching salaries as of this past year and regardless of their current standings, dollars don't always guarantee wins.
We'll leave the staffing decisions up to a later date but how much time will you afford Coach to get this train back on track? Division dominance? Division dominance and a run at the playoffs? Superbowl? How soon? What are your expecations and what do you all think are the most realistic of expectations?
