PrintMorning folks, I'll be your tour guide today ... the list of inactives for today's game against the Lions just came out, and there's no big surprises at all. The 49ers still have significant absences, like wide receiver Braylon Edwards and fullback Moran Norris, but both of them are expected and, again, not a surprise. Michael Crabtree is looking for a big day with Edwards' absence and Josh Morgan's trip to injured reserve, as is Delanie Walker. Bruce Miller will once again get the start at fullback.
For the Lions, the only significant absence is Justin Durant, and that means Bobby Carpenter will get the start in his place. Will Heller is there in place of Tony Scheffler, but all of this was expected. Honestly, I can't even tell you who two of those guys are. The other thing of note for the 49ers is that wide receiver Brett Swain is active, shortly after being signed.

I also have reason to believe the fan he told works with him in other industries. Well, by “believe” I mean “reason to think it might possibly be true maybe but probably not.”

I mostly agree, but I don't think it makes "no sense."
What’s wrong with having two starting receivers? I mean, Morgan is out, Crabtree hasn’t met expectations .. I don’t see how having Braylon Edwards invalidates the value of Lloyd, providing a fair deal can be struck and potentially a new contract agreed upon.

I believe in Crabtree I guess.. and that is the difference for me.
Plus, I feel like Kyle Williams is gonna explode on the scene reals soon. I’d like to see what’s up with this Swain guy, he could wind up being like a Welker type. I like our guys, and in my mind, even though he was at one point, don’t feel like Llyod is a Niner or should be. But that’s just me.

I feel you. I just feel like that’s not being entirely realistic .. I think Williams is going to be really good, but another part of me thinks .. well .. why? How do I know? Lloyd is proven at this point, after last year and through four games this year … go for the throat, in my opinion.

Why?
What is the benefit of adding a guy like Lloyd??? He’s a guy that has a history of disrupting the locker room, and outside of last season, has largely been a disapointment. Alligator arms over the middle, runs out of bounds and slides to the ground to avoid hits. He just does not fit in here. Stay the coarse and put it on the next guy
