Hello 49ers fans,

I have lived my entire life a Vikings fan. You may already know where this is going... but I am requesting a one season pass for a change of allegiance. Not forever. Just until the Vikings are bearable to watch.

My team has, for lack of a better word, sucked. You know exactly who the Vikings are. It's just one guy, really: Adrian Peterson. Put nine guys in the box... and you've beaten the Vikings! So after six games, this story has gotten quite old. The defense is horrible, the quarterback is horrible... and the team is crap.

This summer I visited San Francisco right around the Candlestick Park incident. I went to a Giants game and watched Carlos Beltran hit his first home run as a San Franciscan. The city is beautiful. The lights go down nicely in the city (s/o Journey). I want to live there some day.

This season, I've followed the Niners from a distance. They've defied all predictions and look bound for the playoffs. They just beat one of the best teams in the league. Jim Harbaugh even was a Michigan Wolverine, which means he holds a special place in my heart.

Please note: I am also Mets, Islanders, Knicks fan. I need some hope!
