trade deadline
in a fantasy world if you were gm of the 49ers, what trades would you make at the deadline? this is all hypothetical so feel free to throw in some blockbusters. likely no trades will happen but its always fun to speculate. my trade idea would be a conditional 4th or 5th rnd pick for peyton hillis and drop morran norris. i think hillis could provide a hammer short yardage back that dixon hasnt exactly lived up to yet. he could also play some fullback which gives you two lethal backs on the field at the same time. i also think this guy would fit perfectly into our locker room and morran norris just needs to go. so lets have it, what are your ideas?

Peyton Hillis?
LMAO. He is not a good running back at all. He’s horrible.
I wouldn’t make any trades.

Get over it people. Norris ain't going anywhere.
He might even be the starter when he comes back.

there is no reason to make him the starter when he comes back, maybe a blocker on special running plays, like sopoaga has been doing
I'm not saying I want him to, just saying it's possible.

A first round pick for Vontae Davis.
Won’t happen obviously, but that would be sweet. That would put our defense over the top and we would have the two Davis brothers on the same squad where they belong.

This
What would it take to get Vontae? What do the Dolphins need? Besides everything…
Fantasy World?
Tramaine Brock for Andre Johnson, J.J. Watt and a #2.

(what? mine's more realistic than a conditional 4 or 5 for Hillis...)

Wide Receivers
-A 3rd round pick for Dwayne Bowe
-A 3rd for Reggie Wayne
-A 5th round and Crabtree for Brandon Marshall
bowe'd be nice
9er/chiefs fan from berlin – berlin is in germany – not a native speaker – mistakes may occur
I second that
Bowe for a third would be really nice. Edwards, Bowe, and then Crabs in the slot. The niners would have three crazy athletic receivers that can catch anything thrown their way.
I would pick up T. O. when he is healthy
Yes that is right I said that. I would let him sit for a couple weeks at the end of the depth chart, then give him a couple plays here and there and see how he responds. It is a chance worth taking. Of course this assumes he has a good initial workout and comes in physically capable of playing.
...and doesn't OD again...

...joking aside...
…I’m not “for” or against it, but I don’t think Harbs would have any problem w Owens.
Like Moss with Belichick and the Pats…
Terrell would toe the line, or he’d be gone. Simple.
And he played well last year. He did. If he’s anywhere close physically, he’s still a gifted player. JR was how old when he was having 1000 yard seasons w/the Raiders? 42? 43? Terrell keeps himself in the same kind of shape. I’ve worked out right next to him (another shameless namedrop, I know!)… ABSOLUTE FREAK. F-R-E-A-K… An impossibly proportioned combination of broad and lean. 6-3 226, maybe under 5% BF and pushing 40.
(I know it’s NOT going to happen, just sayin’…)

49ers aren't in a good position for trades
too many free agent starters playing well as it is, anyone they trade for would be in a contract year.

the Broncos are inRebuilding mode...
I would offer a third for Champ Bailey to help solidify our secondary for the stretch run into the playoffs..
