For those who don't know, Carson Palmer has been traded to the Raiders for their 2012 1st round pick and a conditional 2013 pick that could end up being another 1st rounder.

Really? For Carson Palmer?

I guess the Raiders are in "Win for Al" mode because otherwise this move just baffles the mind. This organization is finally headed in the right direction by building through the draft and finding explosive, high upside prospects and then they blow their future on a QB who has found ways to lose throughout his entire career.

How this impacts the Niners? I know it's a bit early, but if Kevin Kolb can get you DRC and a 2nd and Carson Palmer can return potentially two 1st rounders.... will we be asking ourselves what Alex Smith can bring back via trade in 2 years?
