Golden Nuggets: Gameday - What Else Is There To Say? Go Niners!
Well folks, it's gameday. I really don't have much to say at this point ... the 49ers are leading the NFC West, and it really would be nice if they were still leading it tomorrow. Obviously we're not in anything remotely like a must-win situation, but I still have that old "battlefield" mentality about myself right now. We need to see a lot from this team, though I'll take a couple things: strong offensive line play and a defense that's supposed to be a strength staying the course and - you guessed it - looking like a strength. I'm not sure if that's too much to ask or not ... the fact that I dislike Michael Vick immensely also plays a part in my desire to see the 49ers win. There's not a lot of links today, there never are on gameday. Enjoy.

I would say the Niners had a better chance
if it wasn’t a must-win for the Birds who have Super Bowl aspirations. Not sure but aren’t their injuries in your seconday ?? Good luck containing DeSean and Co.

Oh , they're going to play better because it's a ( must ) win ... vs. what a not must win ...!!
I'm your " Huckelberry "...it's just my game ...Jimmy Raye your no daisy ...!!
Really last week against the Giants ( Divisional team ) was what , not urgent ...!!
I'm your " Huckelberry "...it's just my game ...Jimmy Raye your no daisy ...!!
No, we were 1-1 and thought we wouldn’t have a problem beating the Giants for the 7th straight time… not exactly what I call urgent… I think two straight losses have gotten everyone’s attention and there is no way they let it go to 3 straight, I think there will be a little bit of urgency, but if you’re not sold, you will be in a few hours.

The point being , all games are viewed in the same aspect , wether you think so or not , good luck hoping for a injury free game ...!!

“Times not right to open it up”
So accept the loss?
Bottom line. The offense we are playing is going to have some big plays. We don’t generate enough pressure or have that much talent at safety to keep them from doing so.
The Eagles are weak against the run and we CAN hurt them there — but this is not a game we are going to win on the ground unless our defense just completely locks down Vick and company. I don’t see that happening.
I've never liked Maiocco's opinions
His reporting is much better than his football insight, I feel.
If Harbaugh and Co are the supposed gameplan masters, they will know how to beat the Eagles (apparently their LB’s aren’t so good.)
I’m turning into a Grantland shill! Anyway here’s a “blueprint” on how to beat the Eagles.

While I do think
We could have some success keeping their 4-3 base on the field, I’d be more excited about attacking that Wide 9 with an assortment of draws and counters. That is seriously some huge real estate that they are leaving wide open. And if we have Hunter in the backfield every one of them will be a threat to go to the house.
I actually like our rushing chances better out of a 3 wide receiver set with no fullback than I do with a 2 TE set and a FB.
ESPN is
going to show in the next segment how Vick is playing scared! Can’t wait to hear that and hope it is true.
Still hoping Dixon turns out to be the dominant back he was in college
He should get his chance today.
Gore starting
Not sure how long he’ll last. My guess is Hunter gets a few more carries than normal unless Gore can’t go full early on. Not sure that’s good for Dixon this week unless Gore is limited.

At some point Harbaugh has to see if Dixon can fit in somewhere in this offense
I’ve got a feeling it’ll be today.
Here’s to a good day, ‘Boobie’!
