Golden Nuggets: Vote Bowman, Because I Said So

Good morning folks. Yesterday, the voting for the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl opened, and I think there's plenty of 49ers players worthy of your consideration. I think it's really stupid .. no, I think it's insanely idiotic that the voting takes place about halfway through the season. Then again, I don't even really know how much our votes actually mean. Either way, here's the link, make sure you go in and vote - I recommend NaVorro Bowman. Also, again, a warning that SFGate articles are containing auto-play ads. My take on the nuggets

It’s interesting to see Ray McDonald doing some boxing. It builds excellent endurance at maximum effort and builds hand speed. Wonderful exercise for all linemen on either side of the line.

And again, I’m tired of hearing about Aldon needing a “simplified role”. He’s a pass rushing monster. Send him after the quarterback. Fire and forget. Sending him out into coverage is like putting Asomugha into zone instead of man. I’m not saying he’s anywhere near being as elite a talent as Nnamdi, but it’s the same misuse of personnel.

McHammer’s message to the 49ers rookies — life is too short to wear baggy pants. Seriously.

I really want to bring Rogers back, but he’s talking 5-6 years. If the last 2 are easily voidable I’ll be on board but if it’s a mega-deal he wants I don’t think it’s in our best long term interest.

I didn’t see Aldon Smith on the Pro Bowl ballot, but Haralson is!! What the heck What happens when Aldon finishes the season with 16 sacks? Please tell me that he actually is on there.

Putting my homerish style of thinking seriously aside atleast these 9ers deserve to go.

Frank Gore (If he continues semi-production from last few weeks)
Ray McDonald (Deserves Consideration)
Aldon Smith (Deserves Consideration)
Alex Smith (“….”)
Teddy Ginn (I would put him as a definite, but Hester will get it)
Blake Constanzo/One of our ST’ers (One has to Go/ 2 of Ginn, Lee, Constanzo/ Spillman, should go possibly three
Vernon Davis (should get consideration, even though his stats are not ideal)
Mike Iupati (“Deserves Consideration”)

I’m pretty sure that is it. Like I said I beleive 4 – 6 players should definitely be going, but everyone knows how it goes sometimes. Seriously though if atleast Willis, Bowman, Rogers, Justin Smith, AND Lee do not make it something is def. wrong!!! Others deserve to go like the ones mentioned above, but if I had to choose 5 that I thought should 100% positively make it, the 5 jjust mentioned stars should go, no questilns asked.

Who do you guys think deserves to go? and if I could vote Harbaugh I would lol

Very strange Pro Bowl Ballot

Ray Mcdonald and Justin Smith should be listed as DEs and not DTs, Aldon Smith isn’t on there but Von Miller is???

isn’t on there because he isn’t a starter.

Yet he’s outproducing Von Miller by a country mile on performance per snap. I think Aldon has like 200 snaps to Von’s 355.

I'm new to the pro bowl voting

I know it’s probably the least on people’s minds when they choose players, but I didn’t see a Longsnapper anywhere. If you’ve got Andy Lee then you gotta have Brian Jennings! He’s a former Pro Bowler, right?

Is the longsnapper position something that the League just assigns themselves for the pro bowl?

Win or lose, at the end of the day I'm just happy to see the Niners play well... Okay, winning is good. I prefer winning.
