Niners Get (Some) Love From the Media
As many of you are aware, the 49ers received little love from national media outlets after our come-from-behind victory over the Eagles on Sunday. What attention we did receive centered around the Eagles' alleged "meltdown."
If Stafford throws a TD pass to Calvin Johnson, we get to hear how awesome they are; but when Alex Smith does it to Morgan or Davis, we get to hear how much the Eagles' defense must obviously suck. When Gore makes a strong run over Asomugha, we get to hear how he's the "worst tackler on [their] team"; but if that was Blount getting the TD I'm sure it would instead be credited to his "power." They barely even managed to mention how Justin Smith (a freakin' defensive end) hustled like a beast to cause that fumble on Maclin, and when they did it was a sub-plot to the bigger story of "here goes Maclin again with his fumbling."
No credit where credit is due, but we would prefer the under-dog role, anyways, yes? Regardless, the media actually gave some proper attention to the Niners after Sunday. Links below the jump.

The drive of the week,
actually all three drives in the second half, are reminiscent of many other drives in an earlier era.
ESPN and NFLnetwork media are haters
But mark my words when its all said and done nobody is gonna want to play niners come playoff time.
lol...

Stafford has EIGHT TD THROWS to Megatron… In 4 games.

Agree with your point, but...
… I am only trying to say the Niners do not receive any credit at all for doing well. Vick only had that one decent drive in the second half, where they missed the field goal, because of one big play. Other than that our defense dominated the Eagles’. And our offense showed up in the second half and put together 3 long TD drives and 1 more drive to ice the game away.
I do understand that, at this point, the Lions’ offense has certainly done more to impress than our offense. But what we saw from our offense in the second-half was playoff-caliber stuff, is all I’m saying.

Don’t exactly agree but… We played pretty well.
Glad you’re excited. So am I… It’s fun.

I've seen plenty of love for the Niners.
One sports talk radio host actually told parents to show their kids the Justin Smith forced fumble as an example of why you should never quit.
No word on the condition of that guy’s shins.
We don't need 8 in the box. We have 52 in the box.
I'd imagine they're pretty well bruised.

Dobbs is some kind of Young/Smith/Roosevelt hybrid, and will absolutely ruin the NFL experience for the other 31 teams and their few fans.
I love how 8 years of turbidity has turned the 49ers into an afterthought.
And you know what? Being an underdog is nice. I agree with Harbaugh. Hell, the 49ers got more respect in the Singletary and Nolan days then they do now. Often we heard about how they were up and coming, how they were going to compete to win the division. Particularly in ’07 and ’10. Both seasons were double-digit loss flops. But now everyone has their minds made up on this roster (particularly Alex Smith) and yet this year they (and he) very well may end up surprising people and being better than everyone thought.
This team has already exceeded the total of wins I expected they would have at the bye week (I had them 2-4 with wins against SEA and CIN). Thank you, Jim Harbaugh. You really are changing things for the better.
