Golden Nuggets: 49ers Hall Of Fame Day

Good morning folks. I'm filling in for James on today's Nuggets. It's a big day for 49ers fans as the team will hold their formal ceremony tonight to induct Roger Craig and R.C. Owens into the team's Hall of Fame. The 49ers are fortunate to have a rich history and while most folks think back to the Bill Walsh days, R.C. Owens dates well before that. He is arguably most well known for his jumping ability, which was utilized in an alley-oop pass that was more or less a jump ball thrown up by Y.A. Tittle and later John Brodie.

As for Roger Craig? Well, he is one of the best running backs in NFL history NOT in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His numbers do not match some of the huge numbers by some Hall of Famers, but he was the player putting up big rushing AND receiving numbers before guys like Marshall Faulk and Ladanian Tomlinson came along.

May the force be with you

Wonder if people will be saying this when the new play is unveiled. Different Skywalker, I know. Can’t wait to see it.

Win or lose, at the end of the day I'm just happy to see the Niners play well... Okay, winning is good. I prefer winning.
"Yeah, I do get emotional. It fires me up. It fires me up a lot. I'm not going to apologize for that. If that offends you or anybody else, then so be it." ~ Jim Harbaugh
