49ers Vs. Giants Injury Update: Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham Are Game-Time Decisions

Stay connected for news and updates

The San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants kick off in five hours and at the moment, both Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham are game-time decisions for the Giants. Nicks has been dealing with a hamstring injury but sounds fairly confident he will be starting today. He has been limited the last couple days of practice but that may not hold him up.

Mario Manningham is  a late addition to the injury report. He woke up Saturday with some swelling in his knee and was added to the injury report as questionable. He is more of a game-time decision than Hakeem Nicks at this point. Right now Victor Cruz is looking like the number one receiver for the Giants and we could see some action from Ramses Barden and maybe Devin Thomas depending on whether Nicks or Manningham play.

The Giants have some solid running backs but they are built more around their passing game and will go as far as Eli and his receivers can take them. Should be an interesting matchup against the 49ers secondary.
