Author's Note: Apologies to those who were looking for a game thread earlier. With Thanksgiving Holiday and family stuff going on, it was a bit tough to get this out earlier. But rest assured, you have it now and for the rest of the day.
There's just one more week of college football after today's games ... and just like that, the season is almost over. But just because it is almost over, does not mean there will not be a lot at stake both this weekend and the next. There will be plenty of action today with a few games featuring teams ranked in the Top 25 going up against each other.
The Top 10 teams all still play some tough teams and there is a lot of room left for those teams to slide out of it and get lower bids on less prestigious bowl games. But No. 1 LSU seems to possibly secured a spot in the National Championship game no matter what. The mystery is in who they will play.
The game of the week could very well be Notre Dame at No. 6 Stanford. Even though Stanford has been rolling through just about everyone, Notre Dame has the talent on both sides of the ball to perhaps pull off an upset. Andrew Luck is still in the race to win the Heisman Trophy and if he can he the Cardinal smash the Fighting Irish later this evening, then it's quite possible he could take home that trophy and honor.

Stanford
I’m hoping for the ridiculous amount of upsets that would get Stanford into the national title game without actually winning their conference. Rooting for Auburn over Alabama and Virginia over Virginia Tech this week, and then Oklahoma over Oklahoma State next week. With a Stanford win over Notre Dame, that could very well get the Cardinal into the national title game.

Anyone catch Tyrann Mathieu's performance?
Does this mean he’d be a much better NFL safety than a CB? I’d say if he’s a corner, at best he’ll be a lock down corner but as a safety, he has the opportunity to be a game changer. Would you draft him to play corner or do you move him to safety?

should add that I don’t care who wins but my Trojan buddies are looking at this as their bowl game and think that Kiffin will run it up if he has the chance.

LSU – Reuben Randle, Brandon Taylor (FS)
Alabama – Mark Barron, Robert Lester, Barrett Jones, Josh Chapman, Jerrell Harris (ILB/OLB)
Auburn – Brandon Mosley (OT)
Upshaw, Kirkpatrick and Claiborne are there as well, but we’re way below their draft stock and Mathieu isn’t draft eligible.

Who's to say we don't trade a 3rd and 6th to move up to like 15 if someone like Clayborne, Dennard or Kirkpatrick slips because of the QB run?

Just checked the chart... I guess we'd need to do 1, 2 and 3 to move up to 15. A 1 and 2 to move up to 18
Unless somebody slides bad this draft isn’t particularly deep in what we need… Maybe its worth even trading away for future picks. We are likely to regress a little bit next year and maybe we can get some sweet deal like our 28 for a teams 1st rounder next year that will be mid 1st round.

Would love to see Stanford play LSU in the NC
especially with Howell and Ertz back to near 100%
But that ain’t gonna happen. It will be LSU vs. Alabama.

When I did my recent mock draft I didn’t think he would be available in the bottom of the second.
After today, I’m not sure he’ll be available in the top of the second. Currently in the fourth 9 for 95 and 2 TD including an amazing over the shoulder one handed grab in the end zone and catching pretty much everything thrown his way.

Without at least a best of 4 playoffs any champion is bogus.
Better best of 8, or first two with a bye and 4 more in playoff.

USC isn't gonna be there so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
They were soooooo young when they lost to ASU and they got robbed by Stanford. Since the ASU game Marquis Lee found his game and they have been ridiculous.
Woods and Lee are the best underclassman collegiate receiver duo I’ve seen and they have the best QB in the country throwing to them
