After 9 seasons Jack Del Rio finds himself on the unemployment line. He was let go Tuesday after suffering Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Houston Texans. That game ended any hopes of making the playoffs for the Jaguars. Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker will step in as interim coach.
Del Rio served 9 seasons as head coach and compiled a 69-73 record in that time. The Jaguars made the playoffs twice during his tenure but was put on notice by owner Wayne Weaver that he had to make the playoffs this year or risk losing his job.
