A whole lotta nada or potentially some drama?

Vernon Davis has been complaining to the press (again) about not getting touches.  I love Vernon but I am a bit concerned about a trend developing.  Vernon is asked to block more and be a decoy so that our offense succeeds, even though we win Vernon complains about touches to the press, the next week - Vernon gets more balls passed his way.  What message does this send Crabtree and others (who are also blocking and doing a great job with the little things that don't make the stat sheet)?  What does this say about Vernon - this is more success than the team has ever had in his time, but he seemed happier when he was lighting up the league and we were losing.

Unlike our defense, our offense needs to feature different guys week in and week out (other than our constant - Gore) to be able to keep opposing defenses off guard.  I have loved the way that over the weeks we have really mixed it up.  Vernon needs to realize that based on the pattern so far (an effective one) his time will come, but if it happens right after he whines each week, we lose the edge of being unpredictable.

I am probably over thinking this - but I am still so amazed and impressed by our ridiculous improvement that I get anxious about anything potentially setting us back.
