49ers Vs. Giants Injury Report: Frank Gore A Little Ginger On The Ankle
The San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants each released their injury reports for Wednesday. There was nothing particularly surprising about the reports as Frank Gore and Ray McDonald were both limited in practice. Gore is getting over an ankle sprain while McDonald is still dealing with his hamstring strain. The good news on McDonald is that he was a DNP at practice all last week, so this is an improvement.
Questions still surround Frank Gore's status for Sunday. CSN Bay Area has some video of Gore during individual drills. Early on in the video, everything looks OK for the most part. However, around 20 seconds in you start to see some favoring of the ankle. By the end it seems a bit more distinctive. That is not to say he won't be good to go on Sunday, but it is worth noting as we move into Thursday and Friday practices.

Morran Norris & Bruce Miller standing side by side in the above video
A bit surprised Norris appears to be physical bigger (and obviously slower) than Bruce.
Not that it matters….since I dont see Bruce ever giving up that starter spot now.
Actually, they are physically close to same size....
9ers Roster Indicates:
Norris is 6-1 / 250 lbs and Miller is 6-1 / 248 lbs….so maybe Norris a bit more muscular.
Gore is 5-9 / 217 lbs and Hunter is 5-7 / 199 lbs
Miller
Bruce Miller is much more athletic, he has that position locked up for the foreseeable future. I’m amazed he has played so well given his background on D

he has a little Ginger
on his ankle? So THAT"S what happened to Jeff Garcia.
[Poorly Wrought THING] is what Brian Sabean would have made if he were a [THING-maker] instead of a MLB GM
Let Hunter Start
And see what he does. Remmeber when FG sprained a second ankle against Minnesota in that He-who-shall-not-be-named heart breaker? I am so ticked off just thinking about that game. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Looking to put San Fran*six-o* here some time soon!
What does that game have to do with anything?

Either
MM is going to loose alot of cred with Harbaugh for releasing that video or Harbaugh wanted it shown.
I though they didn’t want videos of practice out there?
A proud member of the epic "Green Thread" that was Pitts nonsigning of 3/24-3/25. Oh and I was there for there for the Carr nonpresser too.
The portion of practice that is open to the media is just generic drills
Nothing of strategic value.
I hear you
I guess what I meant was showing how Frank looked. Knowing that the Giants will be game planning for him.

hunter is listed on the injury report with an ankle injury and Gore doesn't look like he will be a go.
We could get a chance to see Alex do it, with these hobbled RB’s.
Leggoooo!!!
I have a feeling Frank is gonna start.
Hopefully we don’t ask him to take as many snaps/carries as he has been though. Perhaps the aerial game will be more predominant this week.
The tank will suit up
I believe Frank was merely going at it light in practice." He’ll be ready" on Sunday. NYG VS. 49ers will be like a playoff game. Winning this game would bring us withi two of a clinch

I would go with your version anyway. Not sure he would appreciate being called a titty
I'm not feeling witty enough right now
My version is what he goes by.

It's Wednesday
Frank will be locked and loaded by 1 P.M. on Sunday. Bigger concern is Ray. Ricky J-F did a nice job filling in but didn’t really pressure the QB in Washington. We’re going to need to get pressure on Eli with just 3 or 4 guys.

Start Dixon, bring in Hunter, then Gore in the 4th, let Gore finish the game. Gore could finish the game and I mean finish it just like he did in Philly.

Dixon is incompetent
Rather have hunter start. He’s 3rd string for a reason…

Random thought unrelated to the article.
Anyone think that if the 49ers defense keeps doing this for another year or two that Vic might get a Head coaching job. What about Roman. Dont want to loose these guys. Or else were right back to square one no matter how good Harbaugh is
I don't think Roman will get that kind of cred.
At least not real soon, maybe Vic though.
I'm not feeling witty enough right now
I feel like Vic's been in the league a while
…and GM’s know what they’ll get out of him. He’s not a ‘rah rah’ type guy. He just doesn’t come across as a field general.
They’re good coaches, for sure. And in this league, they’ll get plenty of looks. I like that a guy like Tomsula is learning under Vic, and that the wealth these coordinators bring extends beyond the score on sunday.
Wait..... soo... what you're saying is....
…Bruce Miller accidentally sat on Frank Gore’s ankle?

Bruce Miller
is in no way “Little”
[Poorly Wrought THING] is what Brian Sabean would have made if he were a [THING-maker] instead of a MLB GM
So maybe Ron Howard?

Gore will play
nothing can stop that dude.
Despite the ankle being sore, he’ll practice just to keep it loose- and I’m guessing the trainers have a good idea of how much work will be necessary. He’s going to be too important in protection to miss the game on sunday. And when they mix in Hunter, there’s likely to be a lot of three TE sets to give Hunter access to the edges.
Speaking of….Justin Peele FTW this week?
I expect him to go, and Nicks, but not Bradshaw
and unrelated, reading the phrase “a little ginger” puts this in my head and I can’t help it:

Now everyone will say Eli is in Bradys class. F*ck me
