Well that's it folks. Unless the NFL renegs on their promised loan to the team and city, which seems unlikely, the Niners new Santa Clara play palace will be under construction some time next year. The city has passed the vote as the stadium authority to approve the previously announced 850 million dollar loan to pay for the new stadium. Doesn't look like there is much of anything at this point that stands between the Niners and their new pleasure palace in Santa Clara at this point.

Only real questions at this point seem to be when will the NFL officially put their contribution into the stadium fund. And will the Raiders be joining into the stadium plan short or long term? We know the NFL has been pushing that, but the question remains if they'll bite or if they'll tell the NFL off and make their push to go back to Los Angeles.
