NFL Pro Bowl Balloting: Voting Ends Tonight With MNF
NFL Pro Bowl balloting enters its final day today and will wrap up immediately following the conclusion of the 49ers-Steelers Monday Night Football contest. Patrick Willis and Andy Lee lead at their respective positions and will look for a final push before balloting ends.
Mike Sando had a rundown of the 49ers in the top five in balloting heading into the final week:
First: inside linebacker Patrick Willis, punters Andy Lee
Second: center Jonathan Goodwin, cornerback Carlos Rogers, defensive tackle Justin Smith (he plays defensive end), free safety Dashon Goldson, fullback Bruce Miller, kicker David Akers, special teamer Blake Costanzo
Third: guard Mike Iupati, kick returner Ted Ginn Jr.
Fourth: running back Frank Gore, strong safeties Donte Whitner, tackle Joe Staley
Fifth: defensive tackle Ray McDonald, inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman, tackle Anthony Davis, tight end Vernon Davis
If you have some time today, get some final voting in at NFL.com. Ideally the 49ers will not be available to play in the Pro Bowl, but in the meantime, try and get out the vote for the Pro Bowl.

I voted for a lot of 49ers
But I didn’t see Aldon Smith on the ballot… Von Miller was on the AFC side, but now Aldon Smith?

Smith
He wasn’t listed because of something to do with playing time.

That's just wrong considering that he is one of the top 10 pass rushers in the NFL this year.
10th in the NFL
6th in the NFC

true, but...
that wasn’t the case when they were compiling the Pro Bowl ballot. Basically a technicality issue

I get that...
But I just feel like he should at least be on there even if he didn’t make it. Von Miller was playing full-time, so I can see why he would be on there. But Aldon Smith’s playing time in the past few games has sky-rocketed.
Oh well, maybe next year.

Vote for this guy as many times as you can. He deserves to be in. He deserves to be an All Pro this year as well

"We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."

I really do not agree with these results. Call me crazy, but non-deserving Niners are high and deserving ones are low. I’m sorry but Bowman had been fantastic this year.

I think Gore, Rogers, and Goldson deserve it this year as well.

Gore is the 5th leading rusher in the NFL; 3rd in the NFC behind McCoy and Turner.
I hope you were joking about that since there are 3 spots.

I would be fine with Gore missing. Peterson, McCoy, and Forte have been more than solid. I do think that Gore is right behind them and will make it when one is injured

Forte won't be able to play will he?
Peterson has not even hit 1,000 yet and has also been injured. His team is 2-12.
Maybe Marshawn Lynch, or Beanie Wells… but I think the consideration should at least be there for Gore. He has done really well this year with all things considered. And he has only missed his typical 2 games per year that he usually does.

He should
He was only expected to be out 2-3 weeks. There is a chance he will play against the Packers on Sunday. I hope he does for the Bears sake.
I'm in love with a man. A man called Harbaugh. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for Harbaugh? You betcha!

Blake Constanzo has been a manimal on ST’s… he should get some votes. I don’t really know too many of the other guys on that list though, I guess.

For NFC Running Backs, I think all these guys should be at least in the discussion:

What is the record?
Can he break Emmitt’s?

Nevermind, I forgot that Holmes, Alexander, and Ladanian had broke that record.
It’s 27… so he basically needs 4 in each game to break it. Not likely.

Oh yeah, I put 27 but it is 28...
I referenced pro-football-reference.com … he was 27 when he broke the record. Got the numbers crossed.

Bowman
I can’t believe how low he is on this list. Hoefully the players and coaches recognize this and makes sure he gets in. The man has had an amazing year. He deserves it. Fan voting is basically a popularity contest.

Goodwin is second?!?! Ludicrous.
Our center has given up 5-6 sacks and gotten blown off the ball in the run game. He’ll be lucky to be starting next year.
Gimme 1 round!
Also SERIOUS LOLs at one of the 2 or 3 worst RTs in football being 5th in voting.
Go back to pro bowls being selected by coaches only plz.
Gimme 1 round!
