These were Jim Harbaugh's words at the press conference after the game regarding Alex Smith.

There are a lot of reasons Jim said this - that Alex Smith is really one of the best 3-4 QBs in the NFC. He has the 6th best passer rating of starting NFC QBs. He is 1st in fewest interceptions but 8th in TD passes. He's tied for 2nd in wins, but 6th in completion percentage. Is he a Pro Bowl calliber QB like Harbaugh has stated or just a good game manager as his critics have stated?

Is Jim Harbaugh honest in his appraisal or just saying it to motivate his QB?
