As it stands now, the 49ers will be sending the most players out of the NFC to play in the Pro Bowl. Having 8 players voted to the pro bowl, only the Patriots match the 49ers, with both the Packers and Ravens following with a respectable 7 players. The 49ers could have easily sent the most players from the entire NFL if it wasn't for the snubs of Aldon Smith and Navorro Bowman. Both of these guys have been on a tear this season and are equally worthy of a Pro Bowl roster spot. As Fooch detailed in his post on Christmas day, with 14 sacks Smith is one full sack away from breaking the rookie sack record and a half sack away from tying it. 14 sacks also places him in the top five in the league. Maybe it's due to the fact that he hasn't seen as many snaps as some of the other players out there. Bowman has been no slouch this year either. Posting 133 tackles has also placed him in the top five in the league in respectively. With Willis in the lineup Bowman was playing at a Pro Bowl level, but has proven he can do it without the Pro Bowl linebacker at his side as well. I would of loved to see these guys voted in as well, but I must say our Niners well be represented pretty well in the Pro Bowl this year..... unless there is some event that makes them unavailable?
