NCAA Football Game Thread: Week 14

We're almost at the finish line ... we have a few more games, championship games, and then of course the bowl games to end the 2011-2012 college football season. Shortly after, all the draft stuff will kick in to top gear.

But for now, today, we'll turn the attention to today's action.

There are a few major games this afternoon and evening between ranked teams. The most prestigious of them will be Georgia vs. LSU for the SEC Championship Game. Should LSU lose and Georgia win, it will shake things up considerably. While Georgia is the underdog in this matchup, if they pull off the victory, there will be a ton of chatter, more than there has been and a possible push to implement some form of a playoff system.

After the SEC Championship, there will be two evening games that will draw a lot of attention; The Bedlam Game between the No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners and No. 3 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Should Bob Stoops push the Sooners to a victory over the red hot Cowboys, then this too, could make things interesting for the final rankings.

The latest game to start will be the Big 10 Championship between No. 15 Wisconsin vs. #13 Michigan State. Both these teams had done very well this season and have either met or exceeded expectations. Both teams do however have a pair of losses. I expect this game to quite possibly be the closest of the four major.

Jump past the break to see the rest of today's scheduled games...

So had Boise won out, and Georgia beats LSU today,

and since Houston lost as well, would Boise have been in the title game?

I think it's gonna

Oklahoma State needs to decimate Oklahoma if they want to sway Coaches and Harris Poll to move them up past Stanford and Alabama and give them a crack at the No. 2 spot in the BCS.

It’s getting close.

UG-LY

Oklahoma State now up 41-3 and I’d imagine they’re gonna do what they can to run up the score for style points.

44-3 with 1:50 left in the 3rd.

The defense is gassed. At this rate we could be looking at a 50-60 point winning margin. Yikes.
