Your favorite 2010 NINER moment.
A lot of the 49er Faithful are complaining about the tough times the 49ers have gone through this season. Although it was a tough season, I still had a blast, as I do for every 49ers season, good or bad! Lets forget about the bad times and talk about the good!
For me personally, it was during the home game VS the St. Louis Rams!(Gosh, I hate the Rams) I remember at the end of the 4th quarter, being down 13-17 and how it was so nerve wracking. It was 3rd and 22 and the Niners were about at mid-field with 2:37 to go. Troy threw a line drive TD pass to Vernon Davis, and Vernon made a great catch on the run, in traffic! Then all of a sudden Anthony Davis was given a flag for holding, which neglected the TD pass to Vernon and brought them back to 3rd and 32. I was so pissed! In my opinion, that TD catch by Vernon would have been the catch of the year for the Niners if it counted. We all know what happened the next few plays: The Niners converted a 4th and 18 pass(T. Smith to Frank Gore) which lead them to a great catch by Michael Crabtree in the end zone! Gosh that was so exciting!! Hands down the best moment(s) of the year for me.
Even if it was a tough year, in the end we all LOVE our NINERS! So lets keep the faith! IN HARBAUGH WE TRUST! What about you guys? What are some of your favorite 49er moments of the 2010 year?

Watching the clock expire on January 2nd
No seriously though, my favorite was the Seahawks home game, since I was there, and approximately 8 PM on the evening of December 26th.
The Seahawk game was great because the Hawk fans came in shooting their mouths off about Alex Smith, SIngletary, blahblah…and we flat out destroyed them. Then we taunted the hell out of the Hawk fans after every Niner’s play.
To top it off, I was sitting in UR 25, so I went down at the 2 minute warning and along with about 40 other fans gave the Hawk players and coaches flack, such as cheering Matt Hasselpick and me saying “Thank you Matt” and “We love you Matt” and taunting Pete Carroll and the whole team. To top it off, I ran into a super cool Hawks fan and we BS’d for 25 minutes on the way to the car, he was hilarious, yelling and talking fast just like Pete Carroll. A lot of Hawk fans are actually pretty cool if you get past the fact of the Jerseys you’re wearing.
I don’t mean to ramble, but the Hawks game was so much fun, I had to.
Tomsula laughing and having fun out there with the guys at the end of the year against AZ.
That’s how football should be. Hard work all week and fun during the game. Hopefully we see more of that this year. 38-7 was nice to see!

At Atlanta
Also the location of my least favorite memory, but I think Taylor Mays’ td in Atlanta was my favorite.
Runner up, Singletary’s interview w/ Dennis O’donnell when he got all but hurt (I think after week 3 or 4)

You know it was a bad season when you're favorite moment was the head coach getting canned with one game remaining :(
In a vacuum though, I’d say my favorite moment was Alex Smith triumphantly leading the drive to take the lead against the Saints at the end of the game. The game didn’t end up as we had hoped, but cool nonetheless.
There were other good moments, but most came at a time that, despite how good they were, couldn’t discourage the the feeling of a disappointing season.

That was a good one...
Can’t leave :51 on the clock though with Drew Brees on the other side waiting for his turn. Dunno what was up with that soft coverage passive defense we were playing.

That's what we call the "Greg Manusky Special".
Manusky had flashes of brilliance, and at the very least was a good coordinator for 56 minutes a game; the other four minutes being the last two minutes of each half. I know it’s playing with fire by being aggressive in critical passing-down situations, but when you’ve been burned, so to speak, so many times by using the same strategy, it’s time to adapt. I believe it was Einstein that said the definition of insanity is to repeat the same process over, and over, and expecting different results.

England
Troy Smith’s pass to Walker.
I was at the game and the energy in the stadium just exploded when he completed that pass.
2 Games
The Arizona game with Tomsula.
The Saints game we barely lost, just such a hard fought game and really showed what this team can do with the right mindset.

Sing fired then Harbaugh hired ...!!
I'm your " Huckelberry "...it's just my game ...Jimmy Raye your no daisy ...!!
yes, hiring Harbaugh was my favorite moment.
In big-time Harbaugh trust mode now.
Still in denial about 2010 49ers having existed
probably Alex Smith to Vernon Davis TD pass in the season’s final game.
Nate Clemens stroking his ego trying to score a pointless TD and not predicting the ball. I saw it coming and was screaming at the TV, such a classic Niner play it was comical. I’ve learned to become a masochist.

When the Niners fired Sing
and were knocked out of the playoffs.
This set the tone that things would change dramatically and all for the better hopefully.
However, this was followed by my worst moment of the year when they beat the Cardinals and lost 2 spots in the draft in the 1st round and many more throughout the draft.
D train to Bensonhurst Brooklyn BABEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first five minutes of the opener against seattle.
I live in Vancouver, and my brother has club seats season tickets for the seahawks so he gave me two tickets to the 49ers game. It was great for all of five or ten minutes.
Singletary being fired and ending the misery
The whole year was emotionally up and down and it was a mess. However, the best moment was Singletary was fired. Jimmy Raye getting fired was exciting too.
Draft Nick Fairley
Getting a tweet on January 7 (I think) saying Jim Harbaugh was hired as HC.
I know it was technically after the season, but that was one of the most relieving moments as a fan of any team in any sport. Stress and blood pressure was high, and that moment made it ALL worth it.
That along with coming on NinersNation to the Rec Party which immediately followed. Still the best thread(s) EVER.
"Bears are crazy, Willie. They'll bite your head off if you're wearing steak on it."
The last home game.
It’s the only one I could make it to. Always good to crush the Cards.
Alaska is a state, dammit! Can I get a Niner game on TV up here?
wowsers
Atleast I’m not the only one who is voting for Sing being fired. Not making a joke either. That seriously is my favorite moment. I jumped higher than I did when Crabs caught that TD vs Rams to put them ahead after that great drive.
QUESTION: When is our QB going to answer questions like "You only threw 4 TD's today. What's wrong with the offense?"
ANSWER: When Andrew Luck ditches the draft and we sign him as an undrafted free agent!!!
Favorite game: Rematch demolition of the Seahawks
As for the poll, I voted first rd playoffs. I really don’t have high expectations with Harbaugh’s first year given he is an NFL rookie coach, doesn’t have a QB (yet), and may have a much shortened offseason due to the CBA issues. But I have high long term expectations (progress in year 2 and hopefully an explosion of winning in year 3).
Jim Harbaugh is our future!
SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS: WORLD CHAMPIONS!
Touchdown Forty Niners!
Giants Baseball: Torture. It hurts so good.
It may have been a pre-season game, but...
Watching P. Willie come up the middle of the line and absolutely HAMMER hwsnbn and put his butt on the pine was absolutely priceless. My wife even laughed at hwsnbn.
Home game against the Eagles
“WE WANT CARR! WE WANT CARR!”
That was just so exciting, scary, and…well, I don’t know, I just had a whole mix of emotions. I wasn’t really angry at Smith actually. I certainly didn’t want Carr in the game. But anyway, after the boos, watching the niners almost coming back was great, but it could have been legendary if they had won.
This is why I love being a fan…so much emotion in it ahaha.
