If we can find an effective role for these guys in our new offense, they could end up being quite alright.

Can you tell I'm anxious to get to the draft festivities? :P

Why not...

If anyone remembers that Pascoe guy we drafted a few years ago that wasn’t good, well he’s the back up TE for the Giants now and was pretty good when Boss went down.

The fact that we finally have some coaches who seem to know how to utilize a players talents is a big help. Before we were forcing square pegs into round holes.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Before we were forcing square pegs into round holes.” Actually, we were forcing square pegs into NO holes… Jimmy Raye had absolutely NO idea how to call an offensive game, and Mike Johnson, though better, wasn’t nearly good enough.

I firmly believe, barring a season that is decimated by the lack of a CBA, that ALL of our playmakers will have better stats this upcoming season than last (all receivers will have more receptions, more yards, more touchdowns, and all RBs will have more yards, more TDs and better yds/carry)

During Harbaugh’s tenure at Stanford, he showed the ability to effectively use a variety of offensive personnel in creative ways, his play calling was effective and at times imaginative, his use of formations, personnel shifts, and motion allowed for disguising his plays to make defending his offense much more difficult than has been the case in 49erville for many a year. I hope that they get this CBA snafu cleared up ASAP so our new staff can start getting their offense and defense installed…

After all was said and done, a lot more got said than done.

this is why I can imagine Harbs stumping for a TE in this year's draft.

I know we have VD, DW, and NB, but for game planning reasons, he’s going to want to be sure to have 4 TEs on the roster (or perhaps a FB that can swing out to TE, like Marecic) so that he can always have the full playbook. When VD and DW went down at different points this past season, the Niners were unable to really run their 3 TE sets, and the effectiveness of their 2 TE sets went down, too.

New Worst Case Scenario Top 6: 1-Car: Fairley, 2-Den: Petersen, 3-Buff: Miller, 4-Cinn: Green, 5-Ari: Gabbert, 6-Cle: Quinn
