Golden Nuggets: Ziggy!

Good morning everyone. Let me start by saying my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Japan and everyone affected by the earthquake and tsunami, everywhere. The Nuggets today will be a bit bare, as I spent most of the time I was supposed to be writing watching coverage of the disaster. Let me just say that CNN is one of the worst channels on television with some of the worst coverage I've ever seen.  Oh well, I guess that's not really pertinent at the moment, and we should get to the 49ers-related links for the day. We do have quite a few links today, mostly pertaining to the draft, as one might expect. I'm not sure exactly what we've got, but I'll get through them quickly, I imagine. Enjoy the linkage, folks.

First, I absolutely love the irony in the stupidity in comments such as "ur an idiot", not only for the spelling, but also because people actually think that's a good way to debunk an opinion. Really, good show, internet. That being said, this article is really well done and looks at the quarterback ratings between specific quarterback-receiver combinations. I do believe that Dominique Zeigler has the best hands on the team. I don't think he's going to get 1000 yards receiving or anything, but as I noted in the receiver Long Look Back post, Ted Ginn Jr. was running way too many short routes, and I feel that Zeigler would have been better 99% of the time in said situations. What do you think about defensive end Cameron Jordan? I really do not want him at the seventh pick, personally. (SacBee.com)

Here's Maiocco's latest mailbag post, where he takes a look at the nose tackle position. I would really like Aubrayo Franklin back, but I do feel like Ricky Jean Francois has some solid starting potential. (CSNBayArea.com)

Jerry Rice experienced a work stoppage as a player, and he's very wary of one happening now. (MercuryNews.com)

Von Miller wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys. Well screw you, Von Miller. (NBCBayArea.com)
