Golden Nuggets: The Pick Is In!

Morning folks. Yesterday, I made the pick for the 49ers in SB Nation Bay Area's mock draft. I ended up going with Marcell Dareus, he fell after the Denver Broncos took Nick Fairley (a pick I did not make, but probably would have in the situation - I simply feel as though Fairley is a better fit for Denver's defense) and at that point I had to pick between Dareus, Prince Amukamara, Robert Quinn and Da'Quan Bowers. The latter is a great talent, but his injury concerns scare me, and honestly, as a football fan, one of the most frustrating things is to see a player's name consistently on the injury report. To be, Quinn is a consolation pick when you really wanted Miller, at least at seven, so it was really between Amukamara and Dareus, and I can't go with the need at that point. Dareus is too good a talent to pass up, so I went with him. Oh yeah, and I think we have some links to day - let's see what we've got.

Branch took a look at some sixth and seventh round steals the 49ers have had over the years ... Brian Jennings is far too low, in my opinion. Here's part one, and then right here is part two. (PressDemocrat.com)

The 49ers draft day party in Santa Clara is set, but this time there's a price of admission. Me being the cheap-ass that I am, I immediately threw a fit, but I saw that the proceeds are going to the Japanese tsunami relief and I cannot think of a better cause. I have went the past two years and absolutely had a blast. I won't be making it this year though, as I won't even be in California. You guys can blame the girlie for that one! (Examiner.com)

Hey, we all know the name of the game is page views. I'm not going to try and discredit entirely the evaluations from Pro Football Weekly, but I see an awful lot of ... of ... well, I'm just going to keep my mouth shut on this one. But here's a link to some discussion regarding it. (SacBee.com)
