Gosselin and Mayock

Just a quick look at Mike Mayock's and Rick Gosselin's mock drafts. They are the two most accurate at what they do. The reason for their success is having better inside information than everyone else.

Star-divide

Their top seven is exactly the same.

1. Panthers - Cam Newton

2. Broncos - Von Miller

3. Bills - Marcell Dareus

4. Bengals - A.J Green

5. Cardinals - Patrick Peterson

6. Browns - Julio Jones

7. 49ers - Blaine Gabbert

Our 1st disagreement. - Mayock's pick will be on the right and Gosselin's on the left.

8. Titans - Nick Fairley / Jake Locker

9. Cowboys - Tyron Smith

10. Redskins - Prince Amukamura / Christian Ponder

11. Houston - Robert Quinn / Aldon Smith

12. Vikings - Aldon Smith / Andy Dalton? Can one make such a prediction without inside info?

13. Lions - Anthony Castonzo / Nick Fairley

14. Rams - Corey Liuget / Mark Ingram

15. Miami - Mike Pouncey

16. Jaguars - Ryan Kerrigan

17. Patriots - Cam Jordan

18. Chargers - J.J Watt / Corey Liuget

19. Giants - Mark Ingram / Nate Solder

20. Tampa Bay - Da'Quan Bowers / Robert Quinn

21. Chiefs - Danny Watkins / Gabe Carimi

22. Colts - Nate Solder / Anthony Castonzo

23. Eagles - Gabe Carimi / Jimmy Smith

24. Saints - Phil Taylor / Adrian Clayborn

25. Seattle - Marvin Austin / Prince Amukamara?

26. Ravens - Jimmy Smith / J.J Watt

27. Falcons - Adrian Clayborn / Phil Taylor

28. Patriots - Jake Locker / Danny Watkins

29. Chicago - Jonathan Baldwin / Marvin Austin

30. Jets - Akeem Ayers / Derrek Sherrod

My five bold 1st round predictions

Jake Locker will not be picked in the 1st round.

Ryan Mallett will be picked in the 1st round

Ryan Kerrigan will go to the Dolphins, despite Wake and Misi being there.

Jimmy Smith will not be one of the top three CBs off the board

Marcell Dareus isn’t going to the Bills. They already have one of the best NT’s in the NFL and they spend an early pick on their backup, Troupe, last year.

1.QB Ryan Mallett 2.G Ben Ijalana 3.CB Jalil Brown 4.NT Kendrick Ellis 4.CB Kendric Burney 5.S Tyler Sash 6.WR Lester Jean 6.RB Chad Spann 7.OLB Jamari Lattimore 7.Kicker 7.CB Richard Sherman

Locker/Mallett

Any particular reason you think what you do about Locker and Mallett?

by David Fucillo on Apr 28, 2011 2:45 PM PDT up reply actions

I've said since Jake Locker's junior year

that the guy isn’t a competent QB. He never progresses reads and doesn’t do the small things like look off the safety. You can go back and watch any passing play, you never see his head turn to look for another receiver if his primary guy is covered. When his primary is covered, instead you see him look for running lanes.

After this passed year Sarkishian said before the bowl game that late in the season he had to water down his pro-style offense for Jake to be effective(paraphrasing). That’s a huge red flag if I’m a GM.

Ryan Mallett.- I think he’s a slow Jay Cutler. While he struggles to reset his feet, he has a powerful arm to still place it just about anywhere on the field. People say he’s inaccurate, which I believe is an inaccurate statement. How can a QB be criticized for not checking down enough, still have a 64% completion percentage be called inaccurate? The guy is completing the difficult passes downfield. His biggest challenge in the NFL in the beginning will be fighting his aggressive play since NFL teams are so conservative with their young QBs.

1.QB Ryan Mallett 2.G Ben Ijalana 3.CB Jalil Brown 4.NT Kendrick Ellis 4.CB Kendric Burney 5.S Tyler Sash 6.WR Lester Jean 6.RB Chad Spann 7.OLB Jamari Lattimore 7.Kicker 7.CB Richard Sherman

Didn't do so well on your predictions

Of course Mayock and Goss both looked like clowns this year too.

Gimme 1 round!

I think Gosselin

is crazy thinking five qbs go top 12. just outrageous

Gosselin mock

He titled his mock a “need-based” mock draft. I’ve been wondering if that means it’s how he views team needs and not based on the necessary inside info? It was a funny way to phrase a mock draft.

they both did pretty well

What the hell is Gosselin thinking?

The Packers taking a 1st round QB when they have a super bowl MVP as a starter and a guy who is potentially viewed as a starter in the mold of Cassel after his limited action last year
