NN NFL Tournament of Badness Elimination Round Day 2: He Was Our Future
Yesterday, we got things started with the elimination rounds in the NN NFL Tournament of Badness. I've decided to let all of the matches for the elimination round to run until Sunday at noon, so be sure to head over to the post we had yesterday with four of the twelve matchups and vote on those if you haven't yet (or even if you have already!)
That's right - even if you have already. Take advantage of your chance to cheat now, because you won't have it later on. We're using Google Docs for the poll options (so as to have multiple polls in one post) for these elimination rounds, so go for that with gusto. Again, yesterday's link is right here, so go there and vote ... two of the four matchups are extremely close, you could be the deciding factor! Now, we'll get on with today's four polls, right now.
But first! Do remember that you are voting for which thing is the absolute worst of the two. At the end of this, we hope to have what is, in fact, the worst thing in the NFL. If you like pizza more than burgers, then you would vote for burgers in a "worst food ever" tournament. Does that make sense? Good ... now make the jump.
Thursday Night Football versus Less Cheerleaders
This one is pretty straightforward, no? Thursday Night Football is annoying and they make up for it by calling them "primetime" games, but in reality, they're just promotional tools for the NFL Network. It makes sense in the scheme of things, but they can be terrible inconvenient. Also, seeing as how most of us are men and a good portion of us are creepy, there's also the fact that cheerleaders are getting less and less face time on gamedays. Sad, no?
Hines Ward's Blindside Blocks versus Donovan McNabb's Grasp Of Overtime Rules
Now, I'm not a fan of a lot of the new rules and I think the definition of "defenseless player" is far too broad at this point, but Hines Ward really does play like he wants to hurt somebody, at least in my opinion. On the flip side, how awful was it that McNabb didn't even understand that the game would be a draw if they failed to get things done? A little silly, if you ask me.
The Cutting Of Kory Sheets versus The Dancing Robot On Fox
This is pretty self explanatory, no? Our future being severed from us against that annoying robot that can't even break it down well.
The Abomination That Is The New Cowboys Stadium versus Cheeseheads
Again, this is very self explanatory. The stadium that they continue to pack people into with multiple blind spots and a whole lot of unnecessary add-ons that don't even contribute to the fan experience? Yeah, that one ... up against chesseheads. Those annoying hats. for Packers fans. Grr.
So, go ahead and vote below and go with which you think is the worst between the two. Vote multiple times if you want! Voting ends for this match at 12:00 p.m. Sunday (pacific).
NOTE: IF YOU ARE GOING TO VOTE FOR AN OPTION AND THE BOX IS ALREADY FILLED IN MY DEFAULT, CLICK THE OTHER BOX FIRST, AND THEN CLICK THE VOTE BOX FOR THE ONE THAT WAS INITIALLY FILLED. THE POLL RESULTS MAY OR MAY NOT ACTUALLY COUNT THEN WHEN YOU LEAVE IT HOW IT IS, YOU HAVE TO SWITCH IT FIRST!

Yeah need some results
Something to disagree about. Have no clue what I voted on yesterday and won’t care by tomorrow.
It doesn't really matter. This is just elimination stuff to determine the bracket.
This is not the tournament just yet. There will be daily results when the bracket it out.

my votes
Less Cheerleaders hands down. An extra day of football at an inconvenient time versus less of the first reason I watched football. Easy.
Donovan McNabb’s cluelessness. Ward is doing his job, McNabb is missing a simple basic rule to his. Nice to know he is a professional.
Dancing Robot. Sheets going is funny but the robot is horrible. Less cheerleaders for a stupid dancing robot? Show the fans in the stadium instead, heck show the line to the bathroom. Anything is better.
Cheeseheads. The stupidity that has followed the Cowboys’ stadium at every step has given me giggles of glee. The cheese hats are embarassing to all fans of the NFL.
Cheerleaders get only 3 seconds of TV coverage per game.
How is more football worse.? I agree that we need more cheer leaders apparently they get 3 seconds of screen time.
Gotta hate the dirty blocks over Mcnabb’s ignorance. Come on. OT ties have happened like twice in the last 20 years.
I find dancy robot ok. I just wish he would dance a little better. The stadium may be stupid, but you gotta love the huge ass screen.
Thursday Night Football?
I’m not sure how adding midweek football is a bad thing.

Its only on NFL network
the away team gets 2 days to prepare
the announcers
Kellen Moore is awesome
Katie Mcgrath is our savior
Im not competitive I just addicted to winning.
The NFL Network
One would think that a network that concentrates on the subject of football could deliver a perfect product instead of a sub-par one.
They have a great staff they just use them wrongly
Kellen Moore is awesome
Katie Mcgrath is our savior
Im not competitive I just addicted to winning.
Perhaps the fact that it's on only 1 channel
That requires its own subscription?
Other than that I can’t see how more football is a bad thing, as long as the scheduling gives them enough time to recover.
fixed
I fail to see anything! Wrong with this?

Awfully inconvenient for some people, only on NFL Network, the short/long weeks, etc. A lot of people dislike it.

Consider me one of these people.
I don’t like the short week for the players but that’s not my main reason for disliking it. When I was single it was great. My wife enjoys the Niner games and likes football to an extent. She really doesn’t mind that I watch all day Sunday and Monday night. But monopolizing the TV on Thursday night, too? Line drawn. I usually just have it on in the bedroom but don’t see much of it anymore.
However, less cheerleaders is most definitely worse.
Agreed
That should be on the list of greatness.

Packers and Cowboys?
Why must you put up the two teams I despise the most up against each other like that.

The whole seating fiasco at the SB earned Dallas the vote.
