Alex Smith vs. Kevin Kolb Stat comparison
Of course stats don't tell the whole story, but it is interesting how similar they are...all the way down to their respective ages! All stats via pro-football-reference.com.
I, for one, hope that Adam Schefter is right and that Kolb does end up with the Cards or Seahawks, because there are few QBs in the league that scare me less as a Niners fan!

If you’re stats are worse than an average QB AND you play in Andy Reid’s QB friendly system….You’re not very good.
Harbaugh can turn any QB into a great one. He's a QB guru, even if he's only been a head coach at the college ranks.

I went crazy everytime someone suggested we go after Kolb
he didn’t impress me at all last year when we played him last season in SF. That game was lost becuase Alex couldn’t hold on to the football

The only QB we could realistically pick up via FA or trade that I had the slightest interest in is Orton
And we’d probably have to give something significant to get him. Alex has better better than the rest on a laughable team.
