2011 NFL Draft: Super Bowl XLVI Odds, Rookie-Related Odds
The folks at Bodog released some new odds for the 2011 season, including updated Super Bowl XLVI odds (all posted after the jump). The Super Bowl odds did not change significantly because of the lack of current player trades leading up to and during this year's NFL Draft. The 49ers remain 40/1 and the only change in the division involved the Seahawks moving from 85/1 to 80/1. Given what I thought was a less than stellar draft, I'm a bit surprised there odds would actually improve.
The more interesting odds for our purposes would include those for Defensive Rookie of the Year. The odds-on favorite is Patrick Peterson at 6/1. Aldon Smith came in at a pretty decent 12/1 behind Peterson, Von Miller, Nick Fairley, Marcell Dareus, Jimmy Smith and Prince Amukamara.
It's a hard bet to make in advance of any free agent maneuvers. If the 49ers were to let Manny Lawson walk, Smith's odds of winning would have to get better since he would be getting that much more playing time. It's hard to make that bet even if you knew one way or the other, but if he was getting some serious playing time in Vic Fangio's blitzing scheme, what's to stop him from a legit shot at rookie of the year?

So they don't think Kaepernick will even be in the discussion.
Well I’m insulted.
Kellen Moore is awesome
Katie Mcgrath is our savior
Im not competitive I just addicted to winning.
I bet Amukamara picks off more passes, but Peterson is more consistent.
Hilarious that Arizona has a higher chance to win the Super Bowl than Seattle.
And then God created Saturn ... and he liked it, so he put a ring on it. ... Always a ninja

They should've added
Jimmy Smith on that list.. I’d have to pick him over them as far as INT’s go..

Could you imagine if we did win the Super Bowl? Wow!

I'm not a gambling man obviously but...
If I’m reading that right, if PP gets more interceptions than Prince then, I owe THEM money?
Niners, Lakers and the Warriors... when Lakers have the night off.
Lebron James has one thing that Kobe Bryant will never have... a bronze medal.
It means that if you put 130 on pp over prince, and you win the bet, you will win 100. Or anything of same ratio.

Wouldn’t Aldon smith be a starter with Lawson playing? Lawson from the usual edge and Smith opposite, would be our best tandem. We still need another 43DE.

Yeah I said it, Craptree, and it is not a typo.....
Kaepernick is the lone quarterback in Division I history to pass for over 10,000 career yards and also rush for 4,000 yards.
Aldon Smith
Is the number #7 pick!
I say we give him a shot at Defensive rookie of the year!

How do the Vikings have a better chance than the Niners?
They have an even WORSE QB situation lol
And they hav Christian Ponder lol
It looks like some of these odds were made assuming these crappy teams will pick up a good QB in free agency

Adrian Peterson will rush for 2000 yards and 750 yards receiving
600 rushing attempts and 100 receptions. That team will make the Gore 49ers seem versatile
by mcwagner on May 4, 2011 7:32 PM PDT via mobile up reply actions
Plus he'll get 10 INT's as their new safety lol

I don’t see Peterson playing well at safety. New position, recognition and he fumbles the ball carrier
by mcwagner on May 4, 2011 7:38 PM PDT via mobile up reply actions
Maybe, but he will get the sixth man of the year award.
