Kaepernick learning from Luck...seems odd

Sure everyone has seen in the news that Andrew Luck is teaching Colin Kaepernick the 49ers offense.

Wondering what everyone thinks about this, as seems pretty odd?

I mean if ever there was a college quarterback perfectly suited and geared for a particular NFL team, it's Luck and the 49ers. Yet the team drafted a QB this year in Colin Kaepernick. Guess there was the feeling in the 49ers front office that getting Luck next year would be a long shot at best.

My question would be though regarding Luck next year on an opposing team and his knowing all the ins and outs of the 49ers offense. Granted the odds on Luck getting drafted on a team in the NFC West is also somewhat remote. Sill the idea of an opposing QB from any other team that the 49ers will potentially play at some point (hopefully not in the playoffs) knowing everything about the 49ers offense seems quite unsettling.

I would think Harbaugh and 49ers front office would have considered this potential future problem in allowing Luck to provide guidance to Kaepernick on Harbaugh's offense. Unless Harbaugh thinks Luck will eventually be a 49er by whatever means and the 49ers offense will ultimately involve 2 QBs (maybe Kaepernick in special situations like 3rd down, with his unique skill set).

The reports seemed to communicate Luck was providing instruction on things more than just mechanics, but things related to how the offense functions under Harbaugh;s scheme.

This just contributes to the somewhat perplexing thinking and philosophy of the new regime with a highly drafted QB that demonstrates some truly gifted and unique skills, but unfortunately have not proven in the past to translate into success and Super Bowl wins in the NFL.
