Due to my own poor timing, our initial Official Sports Bar Thread turned into an open thread for day one of the NFL preseason schedule. Seeing as I didn't have another open thread scheduled, I'm glad people used it accordingly. However, I do want an independent thread just for discussion of sports bars around the country.

Thus, we now have our new official sports bar thread. As I said in the previous one, over the last couple of years we've had this official thread so 49ers fans around the country can connect and enjoy 49ers games with fellow fans.

The way this works is if you're looking for a bar in a city, post a comment. It doesn't matter where in the country or world you are. The idea is to connect 49ers fans. Then, people from your area of the country/world can reply to your comment with suggestions. Suddenly we can get everybody together and enjoying games across the country. If you come into this thread to ask about a part of the country, make sure and read through the initial comments to see if somebody has already inquired.

For Bay Area folks, ideally we could come up with a single place in San Francisco, but I also know people have their neighborhood bars. If we get something together for East Bay, North Bay and San Francisco-based fans, maybe downtown near Union Square or on Polk street is an option. Consider this an open thread to consider all the possibilities.
