According to nfl.com's transactions page, Scott McKillop was cut by the 49ers yesterday. Thanks bayarearep94 for the Fanshot on the subject. However, this is quickly turning into a bizarre situation. McKillop just sent out this tweet:

Color me confused. Although McKillop has had to battle back from an ACL and patellar tendon injury. We have not seen much in the way of comment on McKillop thus far. However, the 49ers brought back Larry Grant via free agency, which might indicate they were a bit concerned about McKillop's recovery. That's basic speculation on my part, but it's all I can think of at this point.
I've got to think we'll figure out something before today is out. Either the 49ers make the transaction official, or McKillop is dressed for tonight's game against the Saints and this is all just a bizarre misunderstanding. We'll update as necessary.
