Complete and utter blasphemy

So, I was thinking about Ronaldhino's post the other day which, while pessimistic, pointed out that the 49ers top talents are at positions that are generally pretty easy to load, and that don't always have the biggest impact on the game (ie, tight end).  I found the post pessimistic, but not without merit, and it got me thinking.

There has been a lot of talk about Gore, his contract situation, and his injury history.  The possibility of a trade has been discussed, but I just don't think there's really a market for him, due to age and other factors, even though he IS an exceptional player.

So, I was wondering who our best trade option was, and the answer is, our best player, which I don't think is even a debatable topic:  #52, Patrick L. Willis.

love the dude-  he makes me smile even when the team is awful.  Every other team would love to have him.  I would NEVER want the Niners to trade him, but I know losing consistently must have him frustrated and so..... (read more after the jump)

I was wondering, if we were to trade him, AS A HYPOTHETICAL, who we would consider trading him for, and thought this could spark some fun discussion about who's best, what positions ARE most valuable, and what ridiculous talent we would have to get in order to part with the dude.

Here are the rules:

1)You may propose a single elite player from another team, or

2) two "very good" players on the same team.

3) No Quarterbacks, simply because their value is  just entirely different than other positions, and the easy answer would then become Aaron Rodgers.

So, who is even worth talking about, in terms of being the best, in terms of staying relatively injury free, and who plays a position that we are week enough at that we would even CONSIDER parting with a likely Hall of Famer in his prime?
