Pro Football Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony: Deion Sanders, Richard Dent 'Represent' 49ers
Earlier this evening the Pro Football Hall of Fame conducted their induction ceremony. The 2011 class of honorees included Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Richard Dent, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter, Ed Sabol, and Shannon Sharpe. The 49ers didn't have a direct representative this year, but Deion Sanders and Richard Dent were both on the 1994 Super Bowl winning squad. Richard Dent was nearing the end of his career as 1994 saw him play only two games.
Deion Sanders on the other hand had arguably his greatest season as a member of that 1994 49ers squad. He finished the season with six interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns. More imortantly, he was a lockdown force on his side of the field and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year for the only time in his career.
You can read through Prime Time's induction speech over at SB Nation Atlanta. In the meantime, here are some highlights of his time with the 49ers. The little ad in the middle goes away at the one minute mark.

Prime Time
tackled every bill his momma brought to him…didn’t miss one.
Thats classic
Give tha guy a break...I remember losing most of our games because of mistakes by players that did not play the quarterback position.
I'm sure Norv Turner is a good judge of a good QB...even he said the guy can be good w/ quality people around him.
whether you liked him or not...
He was the best cover corner of his/my era. Couldn’t tackle but he took away half the field. Better than revis and Asamougha, he was special.

Shannon Sharpe
Loved his HOF speech.
Primetime did it just like how he played. His bill quote was priceless
"I hate it! It looks like a stickup at 7-Eleven. Five guys standing there with their hands in the air."
Norm Sloan
"We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."

Wtheck, it looks like Deion was the receiver around the 2:10 mark.

I'm sorry I mean the 2 minute mark.
He’s lined up as a receiver right? And he didn’t catch the ball either…

In these days of hidef
It hurts my eyes to watch these. It literally feels like my eyes keep trying to focus, over and over.
Harbaugh will find a QB and he will succeed.
Is it just me but Deion's bust looked nothing like him?
I absolutely loved the Shannon Sharpe speech, that was pretty darn amazing; true human emotion.
Deion’s was classic as well. I also loved the presentation video of Sabel; he was a true NFL pioneer.

Prime was the greatest

But his speech was an affront to humanity
“I acted like a clown (off the field) so my mama would stop embarrassing me in front of my white friends”. Sho’nuf, I’m pretty certain that’s Al Jolson in blackface again

He had the rare ability
To look worse in coverage than he actually was, so quarterbacks would be fooled into throwing his way when they should have known better.
Then, like always, he’d stop running at half speed and the ball would be going the other way.
Too bad he was only a mercenary looking for a ring — I would have loved to see him as a Niner for longer.
That's not true at all
Deion was huge, but that defense was vastly different than the ones the previous two years.
I don't remember it like that.
I know we brought in some new guys but I thought Deion made the most impact on the team. He brought the attitude, fearlessness and flare that we lacked as a team. We were already a great team.
