New Official NN Sports Bar Thread
At the beginning of the preseason I posted an official sports bar thread. The idea behind the FanPost was to provide a place for 49ers fans all around the country (and the world, really) to connect and find common meeting places to watch 49ers games wherever you're at.
Given that people don't get quite as pumped for the preseason, I thought I'd introduce a new thread for the start of the regular season. Whether you're looking for a great place in San Francisco (I'm a Green's Sports Bar fan myself), or you're trying to find a 49ers bar in Washington, DC or Phoenix, check in here.
If you know a great place in a particular city, post it in here. If you're looking for a place in your town, post a comment. If you want to provide an option for that person, just make sure and reply directly to them so we can keep suggestions straight. Try and include a link to the bar you're mentioning if possible.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Gotta go where the game is!
You usually can go to places like that as long as you don’t sit at the bar, especially during the day. And there will be lots of 49er fans there, which should be fun.
If I can't I'm stuck watching it on my laptop

London fans
Let’s organize a meetup this year. I don’t know when/where we’ll be on TV much, but there’s enough of us that we should really do something. Last year was an opportunity missed!
Springfield Missouri, anyone?
A slick way to outfigure a person is to get him figuring you figure he's figuring you're figuring he'll figure you aren't really figuring what you want him to figure you figure.

I'm in
Ok so there’s two of us Seattlites who hate the chickens and want our niners. Who else wants to join this mob of red and gold?
And uscar, have you found a bar?
Maple Valley? Not sure. I'm in north Seattle, dunno where uscar is.
I’m in Seattle. I’d say we meet there since that’s a nice hub. My suggestion if there isn’t a 49ers themed bar anywhere is to start checking out dive bars that arn’t too crowded. I plan on getting an armada going for niners games when I’m not working so it will be good if we don’t have to share seats with anyone.
LQA now, Columbia City Soon
I am in Queen Anne now, but I will be moving to Columbia City soon. I have not found a bar yet, although a couple years ago, there seemed to be a couple Niner fans watching on one of the screens at Jillians. A not-so-crowded dive bar wouldn’t be bad, but they seem to pretty loyal to Seattle sports up here. But as long as we can get a spot to watch the Niners in peace, maybe at a large sprts bar, I would be happy.
Found a Bar
Jersey’s in Shoreline is quiet, has good food and is more than willing to get a TV speaker turned up so you can hear the game. The drawback is that mostly Lions fans show up there—but they are cool.
Anyways, there’s three niners fans at Jersey’s including myself. Wear your Jersey, see you at Jersey’s!
San Francisco Bars
We had a FanPost asking about San Francisco sports bars. I’ll post a few options and hopefully people can reply to this with more suggestions.
ecbaker was looking for bars near Union Square. Some options (a mix of random bars and sports bar):
Gold Dust Lounge – 247 Powell Street just after Geary
Lefty O’Doul’s – restaurant/bar on Geary between Powell and Mason
Fourth Street Bar and Grill – sports bar on 4th and mission just south of market, a few blocks from Union Square
The Irish Bank – Bush Street between Grant and Kearny
There are a lot of others, but these are just a few options. If you’re looking for food and drink, Lefty O’Doul’s would be fun.
Bar in Seattle
To all Niners fans in Seattle:
I say we meet at The Ram in U-district to watch the cowgirls get thumped. Unless anyone has a better bar idea. Let me know, we gotta get this going.
Lincoln, NE
I go to Brewsky’s on 70th and Van Dorn. There were several other 49ers fans there this week. Probably 10 total…but not a “49ers bar” by any means. Just a place with about 25 TV’s and Sunday Ticket.
Please come out if you’re in the area.
Aldon Smith will have 10 sacks in 2011.
