Braylon Edwards shot out a tweet that provided a somewhat news-worthy update on his recovery from the procedure on his knee:
On September 21, Adam Schefter reported Edwards would likely be out upwards of three weeks. Conceivably three weeks from September 21 would be October 12, which is a few days before the 49ers road game against the Lions.
While it would be nice to get Edwards back for that Lions game given how big it could be for the 49ers, I'd also prefer he not come back too soon and aggravate the knee. I realize some procedures are "less serious" than others, but I also think if an extra two weeks could have him guaranteed to be 100% for Cleveland after the bye, I think the wise course of action is to wait it out for week eight.
